"Abu Dhabi Book" It launches an initiative "On the path of science"

Abu Dhabi, May 4 / WAM / The Abu Dhabi International Book Fair 2025, organized by the Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Center under the slogan “Knowledge Society … Knowledge of Society”, launched a qualitative initiative entitled “On the path of science”, aimed at linking the guests of the exhibition from writers and thinkers to higher education institutions in the country, through knowledge tours hosted by an elite group of Emirati universities.

The initiative seeks to enrich the academic movement through qualitative lectures and open meetings between international students and thinkers, in a way that contributes to encouraging innovation, supporting the content industry, and expanding areas of knowledge and cultural cooperation at the regional and international levels.

In this context, the upper technology colleges will host a session entitled “Adventures in Writing” presented by the famous British writer and novelist Kon Eagles, one of the most prominent writers of the contemporary historical novel, and the owner of the series “The Emperor” and “Al -Fateh”; Eagles will take the audience in an interesting intellectual adventure, during which he reviews the techniques of creative writing, the secrets of building characters and drawing plots, based on his experience in converting history into a living narration that combines accuracy and excitement to give the session students a rare opportunity to benefit from the visions of a writer who was able to link the epic narration and the historical reality in a breathtaking style.

On the same day, Mohammed bin Zayed University of Humanities will host a distinguished session entitled “Ibn Sina between Life and Philosophy” presented by Dr. Roy Kasagrand, a political analyst who won the “Gold Sarder” award; It highlights the personality of Ibn Sina as one of the most prominent minds in Islamic history, by analyzing the relationship between his personal experience and his philosophical and scientific idea, especially in what is related to his vision about the soul, reason and eternity, and his contributions to linking medicine and philosophy.

Over the past days, the exhibition witnessed a number of qualitative sessions within the same initiative. The Sorbonne University – Abu Dhabi organized a lecture entitled “Mina Masoud’s trip from the dream to Hollywood”, in which the Canadian Canadian actor Mina Masoud, the star of Aladdin, produced by Disney, spoke about his journey in the art world from his humble beginnings to embodying a global figure.

Higher Colleges of Technology also hosted a session entitled “The Arab Culture between the past, the present and the future” with the participation of an elite group of Arab cinema and creative makers, including Yasser Al -Yasiri and here Kazem, and its administration, Fatima Al -Dhaheri, from “Image Nation Abu Dhabi”.

The session discussed the development of the Arab cultural scene, and how it interacted with social and political transformations, and I refused the future of culture in light of globalization and digital openness.

The Sorbonne University – Abu Dhabi also hosted an intellectual session entitled “Francophone in Arabic Literature”, in which the poet Kamel Owaid Al -Amiri and the novelist Dr. Hana Sobhi, the translator and critic Abdo Wazen, and the writer Shaker Nuri interviewed them.

The session touched on the influence of the French language on Arabic literature, and reviewed the experiences of Arab writers who wrote in French or were influenced by the Francophone culture, in the context of the complex relationship between language, identity, and literary creativity.

The “Ali Darb of Science” initiative embodies one of the most prominent efforts of the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair to link theoretical knowledge to educational practice, and to perpetuate culture a common path between the writer, university and society.
