Sharjah Chamber concludes its participation in the International Trade Exhibition for Handicrafts in Italy

Sharjah, May 4 / WAM / The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry concluded its participation in the activities of the International Trade Exhibition for Handicrafts “MIDA”, which was hosted by the Italian city of Florence, achieving exceptional success amid a wide praise of the participants and visitors, where the presence of the room was an important platform to highlight the remarkable development witnessed by creative and craftsmanship industries in the Emirates and enable national talents to reach new global markets.
The Chamber’s delegation was chaired by His Excellency Abdullah Sultan Al Owais, Chairman of the Board of Directors.
His Excellency Abdullah Sultan Al Owais stressed that the Sharjah Chamber’s keenness to participate in such exhibitions aims to enhance the competitiveness of local companies and support the economic growth of the Emirate of Sharjah and the UAE through direct interaction with international markets, exchange of experiences and increase the quality and diversity of local products and their ability to reach broader segments of consumers.
He pointed out that participating in the Mida exhibition in Florence is an important station in the march of supporting local creative industries and enhancing economic relations with Italy and through the meetings held by the Sharjah Chamber during the days of the event with the various parties, I explored more opportunities for commercial and investment partnerships that benefit the business community in Sharjah and Florence, within the framework of the strategic vision of the room aimed at enhancing the emirate’s position as a global center for creativity and business.
For its part, Mona Al -Suwaidi said that the success achieved by the platform in highlighting the capabilities of Emirati designers on the global scene and providing the necessary opportunities for their business growth reflects the great development in the skills and creations of Emirati designers as we have an ambitious plan for the coming years that includes the launch of an integrated program to train more Emirati designers and designers in the fields of jewelry and perfumes as well as attracting the most prominent international designers to specialized exhibitions in Sharjah To see the creations of our national talent.
The Al -Wafd program included a series of meetings with the head of the Florence Chamber of Commerce, the deputy mayor of Florence for smart cities, innovation and artificial intelligence, the head of the Florence Exhibition Center and the Vice -President of the Florence Municipality for Economic Development, Tourism and Exhibitions, where the prospects for joint cooperation and exchange of experiences in the areas of international exhibitions and events and the development of creative and tourism sectors in both sides were discussed.
A workshop organized by the Emirates Perfume platform recorded a record where the workshop presented an interactive offer on the methods of making smoke and traditional Emirati perfumes and a detailed explanation of the basic ingredients used and the methods of preparing them, and many Italian and European visitors expressed their admiration for Emirati products.
During their participation, talented Emirati designers presented a presentation of their creativity that brilliantly mixed the legacy of Emirati heritage and the latest international design shouts in both luxury jewelry and distinctive perfumes with the aim of providing an integrated image of the creative capabilities that Emirati designers possess in these vital sectors and confirm Sharjah’s position as a regional and international center for creative industries.
The Emirates Jewelery and perfume platform attracted thousands of visitors during the exhibition days, and the Emirati products that mixed between originality and contemporary were a great turnout from visitors, as the pieces displayed highlighted the ancient Emirati identity in an innovative modern template. The platform also witnessed a series of bilateral meetings between Emirati designers and their counterparts from Italy and other European countries that provided the opportunity to enhance cooperation and exchange experiences in the areas of design and industry Jewelry and perfumes.
The Chamber’s delegation visited a number of essential oils factories in Florence and reviewed the latest technologies used to extract and mobilize perfumes. Emirati designers also attended specialized workshops in the field of drafting and designing jewelry presented by international experts, which gave them a valuable opportunity to develop their skills and see the latest global trends in this field.
