For the second time, a military plane raises terror in the airspace of Reagan Airport and almost caused a disaster

A Black Hawk military helicopter caused two dangerous approaches to two civilian planes at Ronald Reagan National Airport in Washington. The incident occurred when the pilot took an unconventional path around the Pentagon, which led to the flying of the helicopter at a very close distance, up to only 200 feet, from one of the aircraft.
Today, the New York Post stated this incident in the wake of a previous tragic incident only three months ago, as a helicopter of the same military unit caused an air collision with a US Airways plane, killing 67 people. The new incident sparked a wave of sharp criticism of officials and politicians, as the Minister of Transport described it as “unacceptable”, while Senator Maria Cantail called for strengthening safety measures in the airspace.
On Thursday, two commercial flights were forced to suddenly change their path to prevent the dangerous approach of the helicopter. The Federal Aviation Administration reported that the two planes were less than two miles from the runway at 2:30 pm.
The biggest challenge was the temporary failure of the aircraft monitoring system, which prevented the capacity of observers to follow the helicopter location accurately in real time. Although the planes did not enter the air ban area, the danger was real, which prompts the concerned authorities to continue the investigation seriously in this incident, and to scrutinize the use of a system ADS-B The approved automatic broadcast of monitoring, which was criticized since the tragic January.
For its part, the army stressed its commitment to conduct a comprehensive investigation to determine the exact causes of the incident, stressing the need to wait for the results before blames any party.
