The UAE Ice Hey team scores the bronze of the World Cup

Belgrade on May 6 / WAM / The UAE ice hockey team won the bronze of the World Cup “Second level”, after its victory over its Belgian counterpart, 8-0, to win 6 points in the championship that concluded yesterday in the Serbian capital, Belgrade.
The players of our national team, in addition to the technical and administrative bodies, imitated the bronze medals after the end of the match in an achievement, which is the second in a row for the Emirates team in this category of the world championship.
Hamel Ahmed Al Qubaisi, Vice President of the Emirates Winter Sports Federation, stressed that the global achievement is the culmination of continuous support from the rational leadership of sports and athletes in various fields, and enabling them to have global competitive skills.
For his part, Jumaa Mohamed Al Dhaheri, Secretary -General of the Emirates Winter Sports Federation, the head of the mission, explained that the crowning of the third place is added to the record of the achievements of the Emirates sport, and reflects the development of the national team level in international competitions, as it is a strong motivation to continue developing ice hockey sport in the country, pointing to the support of the Ministry of Sports, the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, and the Abu Dhabi Ice Sports Club.

It is noteworthy that our national team crowned the World Cup “The Third Level” in 2022, and “Second Level – B” in 2023, in addition to the bronze medal at the second level – A – last year 2024, as it is the first Arab team to reach this classification and compete in the “second level – A”.
