Trade is the language of civilizations .. And the Emirates mastered this language with great confidence

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, may God bless him, stressed that the trade was one of the basic pillars on which civilizations were established in the past, and today it is a president of a president of comprehensive and sustainable economic development, and a sector in which the UAE excelled with strong partnerships, balanced relations and an honorable vision for the future, to be one of the influencing poles in the development of this vital sector and its axis of its movement between the east and west of the world.

This came during a meeting of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, in the presence of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, First Deputy Governor of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, today, the Foreign Trade Team in the Ministry of Economy, and the negotiations of the comprehensive economic partnership agreements in the host Council in Dar Al -Ittihad in Dubai, in the presence of His Excellency Dr. Thani Al -Zyoudi, Minister of State for Foreign Trade, where His Highness praised the efforts of the two teams, and the resulting approach to work in the spirit of one team to achieve record results of the foreign trade of the Emirates during the year 2024, with a size of 5.23 trillion dirhams with a trade surplus exceeding 490 billion dirhams.

His Highness said during the meeting: “Trade was and still is the language of civilizations .. And the Emirates mastered this language with great confidence and an audible voice that resonates in all the pillars of the world .. Our superiority in trade is not a metaphor of coincidence … but a distant vision, solid partnerships and flexible policies, and the determination of work teams that believed that the limits of our aspirations do not stop at the geography of the place .. but start from it.”

His Highness praised the continuous work and coordination style between all parties responsible for the foreign trade sector, calling on them to continue creating more ways to ensure the preservation of the historical position of the UAE on the global trade map, and ensures the sustainability of the growth of its commercial ties with the world.

His Highness said: “We not only keep pace with the World Trade Movement … but rather contribute to formulating its future … and we link the East to the West with a large balance of the world’s confidence and appreciation … Thanks to everyone who contributed to strengthening the foreign trade system … You are writing the story of the success of a homeland. He decided to be an influential number in the equations of global economy.”

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum said, in a post on the X platform yesterday: “Today I received a group of foreign officials, notables and businessmen … We exchanged with them the modern .. and the latest news of trade and business … and the most important developments in government projects .. and community news.”

His Highness added: “Everyone listened to a sufficient explanation from the Minister of Education about the new initiative of our government in teaching artificial intelligence at all levels of education … and the impact of this on students … and teachers … and the future of our country, God willing.”

And His Highness added: “I also received within the council a working group that I cherish and proud of its efforts … They are the international negotiation team for economic partnerships and facilitating and opening our foreign trade with the countries of the world …

His Highness said: “Our councils and our gatherings are work sessions, acquaintance .. and learn .. and appreciation .. and we ask God to reconcile everyone to serve the country and the people.”

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum exchanged friendly conversations with the attendees about the process of sustainable development in the country, and the progress witnessed by the UAE in various economic paths, and the achievements of this march of achievements, which are sincerely keen to create all the conditions supporting the private sector and involve it with influential roles that ensure the advancement of development operations, and open the way for the success and prosperity of business institutions and development from land I believed that success in its collective framework is stronger than individual successes, to adopt a unique economic model, the essence of the positive partnership in establishing the foundations of the future.

The meeting was attended by His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Chief of Police and Public Security in Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, Supreme Chairman of the Emirates Airlines and the Group, His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the National Olympic Committee, His Highness Sheikha Latifa Bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Culture and Arts Authority in Dubai, and a group of sheikhs and ministers General, members of the Federal National Council, notables of the country, merchants, businessmen and investors.


It is noteworthy that the UAE has signed 21 agreements for comprehensive economic partnership, and these agreements contributed to enhancing access to more global markets in Asia, Africa and Latin America, which are markets inhabited by about 25% of the world’s population, as these agreements come in the context of the fifty projects, with their great economic importance, especially in the field of non -oil trade, while the state contributes 41.4% of the total exports Goods in the Middle East, and come in the 11th ranking in the world in the exports of goods, and the 13th rank in service exports.

The attendees expressed deep thanks and appreciation to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, for the attention and encouragement of His Highness to all work teams within the various sectors, including the foreign trade sector, stressing their commitment to walking the same approach that the rational leadership established in establishing international cooperation ties and building bridges of communication and enhancing the capabilities that ensure the preservation of the advanced position of the UAE at the forefront of the world with the greatest impact in the trade exchange movement And its future.

The meeting included a lecture presented by Sarah Al -Amiri, Minister of Education, on the inclusion of artificial intelligence within the curricula in government schools at the state level, and the importance of the UAE government’s decision in this regard to enhance the ability of new generations to master dealing with technology that will have a great impact in changing many concepts and practices in the life of societies in general, and is not limited to areas of work and production.
