"Professional diploma" .. a specialized program that enhances the skills of workers in the early childhood sector in Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi, May 8/ WAM/ Dr. Mira Al -Kaabi, head of the National Academy for Childhood Development team, confirmed that the professional diploma program in childhood development contributes to developing and developing the skills of workers or those wishing to work in the Childhood Development Society as the providers, and opens wide professional prospects for graduates, enabling them to join various jobs.

She said in statements to the Emirates News Agency “WAM”, that the program received more than 13 thousand requests for enrollment during the past two years, 1.5 % of them, approximately 200 students, were accepted, noting that the program currently receives requests to join the third batch through the official website of the academy and the unified registration system “Nabu”, until May 10 to attract a new batch of students.

She explained that the professional diploma program in childhood development is a specialized and accredited program from the National Copenic Center, which aims to develop the skills and knowledge of individuals working or wishing to work in the field of childhood development, especially in the areas of early education, child care, developmental psychology, learning and development theories, protection and well -being of the child, in addition to special education and family science, noting that the program deals with various aspects of child development with the focus on the values ​​of the UAE Its culture and identity, and enhance the use of the Arabic language.

Dr. Mira Al -Kaabi added that the program extends over a period of 18 months divided into two phases, the first stage includes education and application for a period of 12 months inside the academy headquarters, and includes 20 study units distributed on four programs: “Anamo”, “I learn”, and “to be able”, and “I am proud”, while the field training stage extends for 6 months with partner institutions of the Academy to enable students to acquire practical experiences Field.

She pointed out that after completing the program, graduates are obliged to work for a period of 18 months in the childhood development sector within the country.

She said that the program provides a full scholarship with many advantages to support students in covering the costs of living, and enabling them to focus on academic achievement, and to ensure that the elite of talents and competencies are attracted, applicants are subject to a series of interviews and assessments according to a set of conditions, including that the applicant is 18 years old or over, holding a high school diploma as a minimum, and he masters the Arabic language with a good level in the English language, in addition To experience in caring for children, whether in the professional or family scale.

She emphasized that the program opens wide professional horizons for graduates, which enables them to join various jobs such as a teacher assistant in nurseries, a child care provider for families or to people of determination, a pioneer in the field of childhood development, and other jobs related to childhood development.

She explained that “the professional diploma in childhood development” aims to build the capabilities of sponsorships according to the highest international standards and the latest experiences and practices, with the aim of preparing them for functions and challenges of the future in the childhood development sector, and the program works to develop the skills and knowledge of workers or those wishing to work in the field of childhood development, especially in the areas of early education, child care, development psychology, learning and development theories The well -being of the child, special education and family science.

She emphasized that the program is very popular, and the affiliates were distinguished by a high level of scientific qualifications, from high school certificates to a bachelor’s degree, master’s, and doctorate.

She added that “the professional diploma in childhood development” witnessed a distinguished demand from citizens, as the number of Emirati students reached more than 70 students, which reflects the great interest and high confidence of future care providers at the Academy, and the model educational environment that it provides, in addition to the growing community awareness of the importance of childhood development.

Dr. Mira Al -Kaabi said we are preparing to graduate 80 students from the first batch soon, and their support will continue after graduation by providing promising professional paths in cooperation with our partners, in a way that ensures the employment of their skills in appropriate work environments, and it has yet been provided job opportunities in the Department of Education and Knowledge in Abu Dhabi, and the Zayed Higher Foundation for the owners of determination, and the Family Welfare Authority, but for the second batch, students are still in the education stage The application, then you will move to the field training stage to employ what they have learned within the real work environments.
