The Austrian national team loses to its Spanish counterpart in the European Handball Championship

Vienna, January 17, 2017 – The Austrian handball team lost to its Spanish counterpart, 25-30, in the European Handball Championship competitions held in Denmark, Sweden, and Norway.

With this result, the Austrian national team’s hopes of skipping the preliminary round and occupying one of the first two places in Group A were dashed, after it suffered defeat in its second match against its Spanish counterpart following its loss in the opening match against the German national team.
