Tomorrow is the start of the Sharjah Crown Prince Cup and Ahmed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Horse Cup races

Sharjah, 17 January / WAM / The Sharjah Equestrian and Racing Club, in cooperation with the Emirates Horse Racing Authority, will organize the race of His Highness the Crown Prince of Sharjah Cup and the Cup of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Rashid Al Maktoum tomorrow on the grounds of the Sharjah Longines Racecourse at the club, with the support of the Sharjah Sports Council and the Sharjah Sports Channel, in addition to the Dubai Real Estate Center as a main sponsor.

Under the directives and patronage of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the spiritual father of Jebel Ali Racecourse, the fourth edition of the Emirates Speed ​​Racing Series will begin tomorrow, which will begin at the Sharjah Racecourse and conclude at Jebel Ali Racecourse during the current season. The first round of the series will be through the His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Cup at the Sharjah Racecourse, with a 1,200-meter speed race.

The champion of the Emirates Speed ​​Racing Series is the one with the highest points accumulated from each race in which the horse participates in the series, and the winner of the first round of the series at Sharjah Racecourse for the title of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Speed ​​Cup will be eligible to participate in the Jebel Ali Speed ​​Championship race.

His Excellency Sultan Muhammad Khalifa Al Yahyai, ​​Director General of the Sharjah Equestrian and Racing Club, praised the directives of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to establish and organize the UAE Speed ​​Racing Series in its fourth edition.

He said: “It is enough that the godfather of Jebel Ali Racecourse has his strong and clearly visible fingerprints on horse racing in the Emirates and outside the country’s borders, and that Jebel Ali Racecourse is one of the most prestigious tracks in the country,” noting that the start of the qualifying series for speed races for His Highness’s Cup will be in Sharjah, and this is a great honor that we are proud of.

The race begins with the first half (Burj Al Khor – Dubai round), which is a round designated for ponies and stallions of purebred Arabian horses, starting from the local production of the United Arab Emirates, over a distance of 1200 meters, with prizes amounting to 40 thousand dirhams, with the participation of 16 horses, with 4 horses in reserve.

As for the second half (the Jasmine Race), it was allocated to fillies and mares of purebred Arabian horses, beginners, for a distance of 1,200 meters, with prizes amounting to 40,000 dirhams, with the participation of 16 horses, with 4 horses on reserve. The third half, (the Paradise Race), was designated for purebred Arabian horses, handcap, for a distance of 1,700 metres, with prizes amounting to 40,000 dirhams, with the participation of 16 horses, with 4 horses on reserve. Precaution.

The fourth round (the Cup of His Highness the Crown Prince of Sharjah) was allocated to purebred Arabian horses of local production and classified as only four or five years old, over a distance of 1200 meters (Condition). It is a parity round and its prizes reach 200 thousand dirhams with the participation of 14 horses.

While the fifth round (Palma Spring Round) was allocated to purebred Arabian horses (hand cup par) for a distance of 2000 meters and its prizes were 40 thousand dirhams with the participation of 15 horses, while the sixth round (HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Cup – Emirates Horse Racing Series) was allocated to purebred and classified hybrid horses for a distance of 1200 meters (Condition) and its prizes were 200 thousand dirhams with participation. 9 horses.
