المملكة: “Food and Drug” referred a commercial facility in Riyadh to the prosecution

The Food and Drug Authority referred a representative of one of the commercial establishments in Riyadh to the Public Prosecution, after his seizure was involved in the sale of an adulterated pharmaceutical product, in an explicit violation of the provisions of the system of installations and pharmaceutical and herbal preparations in force in the Kingdom.
The commission clarified that what the delegate committed is considered one of the violations stipulated in paragraph (2) of Article 34 of the system, which states that “whoever sold, dispensed, or has a pharmaceutical or adulterated herbalist, or corrupt, or expired, or not registered with the intention of trafficking, is punished with imprisonment for a period not exceeding (10) years, or with a financial fine that does not exceed (10) million Real, or both penalties together. “

Product quality

The commission stressed the importance of full commitment to regulations and regulations that aim to ensure the safety and quality of the preparations circulated in the Saudi market, stressing that such violations represent a serious danger to the health and safety of the consumer, and requires the application of regular penalties to the perpetrators.
The Authority called on members of the community to cooperate by reporting any violations that are monitored in the facilities subject to its supervision, by calling the unified number (19999) to enhance control and protection of public health.
