“Abu Dhabi Environment” launches an immediate grazing license service via the “Tam” platform

The Environment Authority – Abu Dhabi launched an immediate service to obtain a grazing license for those who meet the conditions through the “Tamm” platform, and announces the start of the grazing season in the emirate from May 15 to October 15, 2025. The launch of the service falls within the requirements of implementing Law No. (11) of 2020 regarding the grazing regulation in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and its executive regulations.

The Environment Authority – Abu Dhabi, in its capacity as the authority specialized in the environment affairs in the emirate, seeks to ensure the use of natural resources according to the best environmental sustainability standards in order to achieve the needs of the local community and the preservation of grazing as one of the traditional traditional practices and an inherent part of the components of the national identity in the UAE.

According to the executive regulations of the grazing law, the authority issues licenses for camels and educators to regulate the grazing practice activity, so that it is required to obtain a camel grazing license for the applicant to request the citizens of the United Arab Emirates, and that he is not less than 21 years old, and the presence of camels and his age should not be less than 18 years old, and that the applicant must have a certificate of inventory of livestock valid. Accredited by the Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority.

Camel owners and educators can apply for a grazing license through the “Tam” platform through the official website of the platform https://www.tamm.abudhabi/ar-aeAnd those with the license are required to adhere to grazing in open wild areas, and to stay away from natural reserves, forests, residential and private areas, military and petroleum facilities, roads and prohibited places for a distance of at least 2 km, and not to leave the camels sponsor without facilities, and commitment to the period specified for grazing in the license.

Camels and owners of camels who have a license must adhere to a number of environmental requirements that include not inserting plants, exotic animals, or any harmful substances in the grazing areas, not to take off pastoral plants, burn, transport, cut them, destroy, massage, remove, collect, or any part of them in those areas, and not harm to biological diversity or biological diversity or or biological diversity or or biological diversity Costing any harm to the environment there, as it prevents leaving fences, tools, materials, or other waste in those areas, as well as preventing approaching water well sites, and bicycles, cars or any type of vehicles or mechanisms that negatively affect the vegetation, in addition to preventing the transfer of grazing license to another person.

The Environment Authority – Abu Dhabi has coordinated with a number of concerned authorities to ensure smooth access to the service through a platform, which confirms its commitment to the rational leadership approach to ensuring the facilitation of procedures for obtaining environmental licensing services quickly and immediately.

The authority appreciates the role of the local community through the cooperation of senior citizens by sharing their knowledge and traditional experiences about grazing with specialists in the authority to benefit from it in planning the formulation of policies, legislation and procedures related to grazing, and expressed its thanks and appreciation to the owners and camels of camels for their cooperation in adhering to the conditions of grazing during the past seasons in a way that enhances the executive aspect of the law and ensures the preservation of wild plants in Abu Dhabi.
