“Dubai Health” told “Emirates Today” that the highly qualified nursing cadres operating within its facilities are more than 4400 nurses, including 120 Emirati cadres, which represents three times their number in 2022, which is 40 nurses, an increase of 200% within three years, and is a clear indication of the progress made in the localization of this vital profession, in a step confirming “Dubai Health” was keen to rehabilitate and empower local nursing cadres.

Acting Director of Nursing at Al -Jalila Hospital, Yusr Hamad, said that the greatest rewards in the nursing profession are born from the simplest human moments, adding: “What gives me the motivation to continue every day is that smile that we draw on the faces of our patients and their families, so yesterday I visited a child who was recovering from surgery, and after 10 days he spent in intensive care, smiled for me for the first time, the world”.
The official of the Nursing Unit at the Witness Department at Dubai Hospital, Shahrazad Sharifi, said: “I found in the tribe profession a message that meets my passion for serving and supporting women in the most influential moments in her life, and I (Dubai Health) allowed me to develop my clinical, guide and trained career for the tribal students, as well as the opportunity to participate in local and international conferences, and this makes my work here a unique and influential experience.”
Ali Al -Khalidi, the official of the Psychiatric Medicine and Community Mental Health Services, expressed his choice of nursing profession, saying: “I chose nursing because it gives me an opportunity to communicate with the patients and their families, and to enable them to understand their condition and the positive impact on people’s lives, and I am happy with the environment in support of the career development and professional stability provided by (Dubai Health), as a basic condition for continuity and success.”
On their feeling of their work, nurses, the nurse in the Dubai Hospital Department, Marwa Al Falasi, said: “Nursing for me is a message, not just a profession. “I realized that the nursing is the appropriate profession when I saw fear fading from the eyes of a child after I calmed it down, and every small smile means a lot to me, and reminds me of the value of what I do every day.”
The midwife at Latifa Hospital said,
