Al -Habtoor demands a review of the length of the school movement for students .. and “Education”: We welcome development proposals

Social media platforms witnessed a wide interaction with the appeal directed by the Emirati businessman Khalaf Ahmed Al Habtoor to the Ministry of Education and the Knowledge and Human Development Authority in Dubai, calling for a review of the conditions of school students, especially young children who are forced to wake up at dawn hours, and spend a long time to move between the home and the school.

Al -Habtoor appeals and the division responds

Al Habtoor said in his tweet: “Our children are honest in our necks.

He added: “I appeal to the Ministry of Education and the Knowledge and Human Development Authority in Dubai to look seriously on this issue, asking why there is no school or nursery in every residential area? We are ready to help, the responsibility is common, mercy is required, and childhood is not a stage that is underestimated, but it is the basis of man. Let us relieve them.”

The response came from the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education, Muhammad Al -Qasim, welcomed in cooperation, saying: “The responsibility is common to Bou Rashid, and we are all one team we work for the benefit of the student. We are happy to meet with you and with your team to discuss improvement and development ideas.”

Community discussion

This interaction opened the door of broad societal discussion on the “X” platform, where the “Emirates Today” monitored some of the interventions and tweets that came from different societal groups, supporting the appeal of the Al Habtoor, and focused on inspiring global educational experiences.

On the one hand, one of the tweeters referred to the British experience in teaching kindergarten and elementary grades, where children are exempt from carrying heavy bags, and dependent on learning with indoctrination and interactive activities within residential neighborhoods, in a way that encourages the child to love the school through experience and discovery.

The absence of free schools

Others criticized the absence of free schools in some neighborhoods, stressing that existing schools are often private and expensive, although the lands are mainly dedicated to residential purposes. They demanded a review of the distribution of community services, and the replacement of parks and commercial complexes with high -level schools that serve the various groups of society.

Another was also cited the experience of China, where residential neighborhoods are built according to an integrated model that includes schools, hospitals, service centers, which reduces dependence on buses or private vehicles, and brings education closer to the family.

Efficiency and safety

On the other hand, a number of tweeters defended the current system, stressing that government schools in the country are equipped with the highest standards, and that the registration system obliges the student to enroll in his nearest school, while providing safe transportation that is difficult to compare regionally in terms of efficiency and safety.

It seems that the official and societal interaction with this issue will constitute a fertile ground for a future national dialogue on integrated urban planning, and the provision of an educational environment friendly for the child, and close to his home, which contributes to achieving an integrated life quality for students and their families.
