The World Taekwondo Junior Championship in Fujairah is a qualitative station in the history of the game

Fujairah on May 12 / WAM / The Emirate of Fujairah is witnessing a global sporting atmosphere these days with the start of the World Taekwondo Championship for Junior, which is held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, with the participation of 811 athletes from 93 countries.

The organization of the tournament comes as an affirmation of the pioneering position that the Emirate of Fujairah has to host the major sporting tournaments, thanks to the advanced infrastructure and accumulated organizational experiences that strengthened the confidence of the International Taekwondo Federation to support the organization of this global event to the emirate.

The tournament is a qualitative station in the history of taekwondo, where the application of modern technologies that are used for the first time in the game competitions is witnessing, which reflects the technological progress and digital transformation witnessed by combat sports at the international level.

The emirate provided all the logistical potential for the success of the event, from advanced sports facilities, highly ready hotels, and various transportation to ensure the comfort of the participating delegations.

Young people constitute an essential corner in organizing the championship, through effective contributions to a large number of technicians and volunteers, who have harnessed their efforts as part of studied plans set by the organizing committee, to highlight the championship with the best image worthy of the country’s reputation in hosting global sporting events.
