Students of all stages are subject to “projects evaluation” next academic year

The Ministry of Education confirmed that students of all the “first, second and third” educational levels are subject to the evaluation system based on projects starting from the new academic year 2025-2026, specifically in the second semester where the central tests were canceled so that the projects were canceled by the tool through which students are evaluated in various education seminars, as it was targeted in the first stage of the system 127,500 students in the second episode of 350 government and private schools.
At a time when public and private schools applied to the curriculum of the Ministry of Education are preparing to receive more than a million male and female students, including 25 thousand new ones in public schools, next Monday, August 25.
According to the ministry, the experience of project evaluation has proven the effectiveness of this type of evaluation in developing critical thinking, enhancing teamwork, supporting students ’capabilities to solve problems, and strengthening their opportunities in interactive learning and linking theoretical knowledge to practical application.
For her part, Minister of Education Sarah Bint Muhammad Al -Amiri stressed the importance of new updates in the student performance evaluation system in a way that makes it more just and objective, focusing on cognitive and practical skills, away from excessive dependence on traditional exams, explaining that the diversification and development of students’ performance evaluation tools and the development of measurement and evaluation methods accompanied in its content global quality standards, and ensures the achievement of educational outcomes Advanced.
She said that the first stage of the system included about 127,500 students, in addition to its application in 350 government and private schools, which strengthened the opportunities for students in interactive learning and linking theoretical knowledge to practical application.
She explained that the project’s evaluation system is witnessing expansion in the new academic year 2025-2026, to include students of all grades from the first to twelfth, while developing the evaluation tools in a way that ensures the achievement of deeper and sustainable educational outputs, and the results will be pursued periodically to ensure that the outputs are compatible with the requirements of the national educational system and their future goals.
The Ministry stressed that this system reflects its orientation towards building a renewed Emirati school, putting the student in the center of the educational process, and working to develop its intellectual and practical skills in line with the changes of the times and the requirements of the labor market.
