Create 50% of the largest aluminum recycling factory in the Emirates

Abu Dhabi, May 13 / WAM / Emirates International Aluminum Company announced the completion of more than 50% of the construction work of the largest aluminum recycling factory in the country, 42 days before the specified date.
The factory, which has a production capacity of 170 thousand tons annually, is built near the company’s fascinator in Al -Tawila, and more than 1.2 million hours of work in the project have been completed without recording any incidents that caused the stoppage of work, and the installation of the largest oven in the UAE is scheduled to be completed with a monthly son -in -law per hour during the month of June.
The aluminum scrap will be recycled in the new factory, in addition to the scrap resulting from the industrial processes for the production of “high -quality” aluminum and carbon low, as it will be marketed by the UAE International Aluminum under the brand name “Revival”. Production operations are expected to start during the first half of 2026.
It should be noted that most aluminum waste in the UAE is exported abroad for recycling, while it is expected when the recycling factory in the long, the company will become the largest consumer of aluminum scourge in the country, which will contribute to strengthening local supply chains and maintaining value within the national economy.
Abdel Nasser Bin Kalban, CEO of Emirates International Aluminum Company, said that the project will contribute to expanding the scope of production of low -carbon metals to meet the needs of local and international customers with this type of metal, pointing out that the completion of this project is a prominent step towards the “Make in the Emirates” initiative and achieve the goals of the national industry and advanced technology strategy “project 300 billion”.
He added in a statement to the Emirates News Agency “WAM”, that the company is keen to keep pace with the needs of the global market and to always be in a site that qualifies it to respond quickly to the request, whether at the local or global level; The company’s approach is not only to increase productivity, but also includes achieving this in a sustainable and strategic manner in line with the vision of the rational leadership of sustainable industrial development.
He pointed out that during the past year the company carried out strategic acquisitions that included the “Leshottal” company specialized in Europe for recycling, and the company “Specro Aloise”, which is one of the most prominent secondary aluminum alloys producers in the United States.

On the role of the new factory in creating qualitative functional opportunities, Bin Kalban said that the factory is expected to provide 150 new job opportunities, and to contribute to creating job opportunities along the value chain for the aluminum and local industries, such as auto parts for global brands and the construction industries and packaging.
He pointed out that the factory will contribute to enabling national cadres in a new industrial field by attracting a group of new employees, including young national cadres.
He pointed out that an Emirati manager of high efficiency in the company leads the project during the construction phase, along with an experienced team, which embodies the company’s firm commitment to enabling national cadres and its leadership of strategic projects.
He pointed to the pivotal role played by aluminum recycling in strengthening the circular economy by reducing the consumption of natural resources and greenhouse emissions, stressing that the factory represents a strategic step in achieving the goals of national sustainability and climate neutrality by 2050.
He pointed to the expectations of the growth of global demand for aluminum recycled aluminum from about 27 million tons annually in 2022 to 57 million tons by 2040, and the recycled aluminum is expected to secure 60% of the growth of global aluminum supplies by 2030, and 70% between 2030 and 2040.
