On the other hand, the United Nations Support Mission in Libya welcomed the mission carried out by the Public Prosecutor in the city of Benghazi in order to investigate the case of a member of the House of Representatives, Mr. Ibrahim Al -Darsi, who was subjected to enforced disappearance about a year ago.

The mission expressed hope that this step will contribute to revealing its fate and holding accountable those responsible for its disappearance. She stated in a press statement that she expects full and transparent cooperation from the concerned authorities with the Attorney General in this investigation, as well as in other ongoing investigations regarding violations and abuses attributed to the security authorities throughout Libya, including kidnappings, enforced disappearance, and arbitrary detention.

The mission affirmed its full readiness to provide the necessary support in order to complete this investigation, answer the legitimate questions of the Al -Sayed Al -Darsi family and the Libyan people, and end the impunity in everything related to the grave violations of human rights, including international crimes.
