The UAE is an inspiring Arab model for creating the future and empowering youth

The Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, confirmed that the UAE has presented an inspiring Arab model in creating the future, and has succeeded in transforming ambition into achievement, and the vision into a tangible reality, through well-established institutions and clear policies that anticipate the future and invest in people.

Aboul Gheit said, in his speech during the Al-Arabi Young Leaders Meeting within the second preliminary day of the World Government Summit, that the international system is witnessing profound transformations, with the decline of the rules and institutions that were formed since after World War II, which is pushing countries to reformulate the concepts of influence and power, in light of a global race to find new models that meet the aspirations of peoples and keep pace with rapid changes.

He pointed out that the future will always depend on the youth, wondering how it is possible to prepare young generations capable of leadership and shaping the future, in light of the successive scientific developments, the spread of social media, and the acceleration of technological innovations and artificial intelligence, which would bring about pivotal changes whose effects would extend for centuries to come.

Aboul Gheit stressed that young people must realize their mission to serve their countries, stressing that achieving ambitions can only be achieved through awareness, hard work, and positive engagement in national development paths.

He explained that the greatest wealth possessed by the Arab region lies in the energy of its youth, their ambition, and their ability to innovate and adapt to changes, pointing out that this wealth needs an incubating environment and real empowerment tools that allow youth to participate in decision-making, not just be satisfied with the role of recipient or implementer of plans and programmes.

He stressed that approaching the younger generation has become an obligation on all Arab elites, pointing out that investing in young leaders represents an integrated project that begins with education and ends with creating leaders capable of leading the future.

He added that experiences have proven that Arab countries possess tremendous youth potential, if they are provided with the appropriate environment and effective empowerment paths, praising the experience of the UAE, which succeeded in providing an integrated system to support and empower youth.

Aboul Gheit called for developing the Arab youth work system and raising the efficiency of empowerment initiatives, stressing that true Arab partnership is based on investing the greatest wealth the region possesses, which is youth, through nurturing environments, clear paths, and real empowerment tools that make them active partners in development and decision-making.
