Saudi Arabia and America expect a defensive sales deal at 142 billion dollars

The United States and Saudi Arabia signed a huge arms deal that the White House described as the “largest in history”, as part of a series of agreements signed by US President Donald Trump and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in Riyadh.

The White House issued a statement confirming that “the United States and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia signed the largest defensive sales deal in history, with a value of approximately 142 billion dollars”, to provide the Kingdom with “advanced combat equipment.”

In the midst of a rich royal reception on the first official visit during his second term, Trump entered the luxurious royal Yamama Palace in a black presidential car accompanied by knights carrying flags of the two countries. 21 artillery shots were welcomed by the American president, who accompanied the Saudi F-15 fighters, his presidential plane “Air Force One” before landing on Tuesday morning.

Under luxurious chandeliers, Trump welcomed the promise made by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, with an investment of $ 600 billion, and that this amount must reach a trillion dollars.

“Today we have the world’s largest business leaders, and they will leave many checks,” Trump told the Prince. “With regard to the United States, we are probably talking about two million jobs,” he added.

In front of the lenses of the photographers, a long procession of the royal family and Saudi businessmen offering to shake hands with Trump and the Crown Prince, including Elon Musk, presented the richest man in the world and the close consultant of Trump, who appeared in a full official suit in a rare matter.

As Saudi Arabia pledged to billions of dollars in deals, the two leaders signed a “strategic economic partnership” agreement whose details were not announced immediately. Meanwhile, Saudi ministers, officials and Americans signed other memoranda of understanding in the fields of defense and energy.
