China intends to strengthen relations with Latin America and give the “continent” loans for development

Chinese President Xi Jinping announced yesterday, during a large regional forum in Beijing, that his country wants to strengthen its relations with the Latin American countries and the Caribbean Sea in the time of “confrontation between the blocs”.
In a speech during the opening ceremony of the fourth ministerial meeting of the “China -Silac Forum” (Latin American Group and the Caribbean region), Ping said: “Through unity and cooperation only, countries can protect global peace and stability, and promote development and prosperity around the world”, condemning the actions of “bullying and dominating”, in a clear reference to the United States.
In his speech to delegations, the Chinese president stressed that “there is no winner in customs wars or commercial wars.”
Bing also warned that “bullying and hegemony will only lead to self -isolation.”
He added, “The world is witnessing rapid transformations that have not seen it for a century in light of the multiple intertwined and intertwined risks.”
The Chinese president pointed out that “despite the distance of China from the Latin American region and the Caribbean, the two sides have a long history of friendly exchanges,” likening the summit to a “great steadfast tree.”
Bing pledged to provide $ 9.2 billion loans to support “development” in Latin American countries and the Caribbean Sea, as part of a wide range of initiatives aimed at deepening cooperation, including in the field of infrastructure and clean energy.
He pointed out that Beijing will also cooperate with the region to combat terrorism and the Crusher Crime, as well as strengthening exchanges such as grants and training programs.
The Chinese President’s speech comes the day after Washington and Beijing announced that they will reach an agreement that reduces 90 days by a large percentage of the exorbitant customs duties that they were imposed.
Among the most prominent leaders participating in the “China -Cellac Forum”, Brazilian President Luis Inacio Lula da Silva, and Colombian President Gustavo Petro, who announced last week his intention to sign an agreement to join the Chinese Belt and Road Initiative.
Petro called for a “dialogue between civilizations” that takes into account the interests of the region.
He said, “The horizontal dialogue, instead of the vertical dialogue, can be free of tyranny and imperialism and from taking and responding between civilizations.”
So far, two thirds of Latin American countries have joined the Beijing Infrastructure Program in the Belt and Road Initiative, which is worth trillion dollars.
