On behalf of the President of the State, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, the UAE delegation is headed at the Gulf -American Summit in Riyadh

Riyadh, May 14 / WAM / on behalf of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, “may God protect him”, presided over His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, the UAE delegation participating in the Gulf -American Summit hosted by the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia today in the capital Riyadh.
His Highness participated in the meeting that brought together the leaders of the Gulf Cooperation Council states with His Excellency US President Donald Trump and discussed ways to enhance friendship and cooperation between the GCC states and the United States of America, in addition to discussing the latest developments and conditions on the regional and international arenas, and ways to enhance security and stability in the region.
In a statement on the occasion of the summit, His Highness expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, King of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, for his generous call for this extraordinary summit, which represents a good opportunity to document friendship and historical cooperation between the countries of the Cooperation Council and the US friendly states, through the strategic partnership between the two sides and what enables us to start together towards more welcome prospects. The aspirations and interests of our peoples.
His Highness expressed his complete confidence that this summit contributed to strengthening this strategic partnership, and pushing relations between the two sides to more progress and growth in all fields, putting in its priorities the importance of enhancing coordination and integration in political, economic and security paths in the Gulf and American framework, in a way that serves the future of our peoples towards development and prosperity.
His Highness said that enhancing regional and international security and stability requires all of us cooperation, coordination and effective joint work, especially in light of international and regional challenges.
His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan stressed the importance of the pivotal role played by the United States of America in enhancing the security and stability of the region, and that participation in this summit enhances the historical and plotting partnership that brings together the two sides and confirms the commitment to support the efforts to achieve peace and prosperity.
On this occasion, His Highness pointed to the efforts made by the team of His Excellency President Donald Trump to reach a ceasefire agreement between India and Pakistan, stressing the importance of dialogue alone to resolve differences and disputes and enhance relations, in a way that benefits the two countries, the peoples and South Asia.
His Highness appreciated the initiatives aimed at finding sustainable peaceful solutions to a number of regional and international issues.

In this regard, His Highness expressed optimism about the positive tours of diplomatic talks between the United States and Iran, noting that the UAE still supports the success of the talks in a way that contributes to reducing tension in the region, and enhancing stability and prosperity.
His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan affirmed the UAE’s support for constructive cooperation with the administration of His Excellency President Donald Trump, and the efforts aimed at finding sustainable solutions to regional challenges, in order to enhance development and serve the interests of their peoples.
His Highness stressed the UAE’s steadfast position in supporting dialogue and diplomacy, which was embodied in reaching the Brahimi agreement in 2020, by His Excellency President Trump, as a strategic step towards promoting peace and regional cooperation.

In this context, His Highness stressed the importance of coordination to find a permanent solution to the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, and to deliver humanitarian aid to civilians, in addition to reaching a fair settlement that guarantees the rights of the Palestinian people through the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on the 1967 lines with East Jerusalem as its capital.
His Highness said: “The ties between the countries of the Cooperation Council and the United States exceed the frameworks of traditional relations, as the usual horizons exceeded, and the common desire to cooperate in achieving significant partnerships and achievements in new areas that include artificial intelligence, modern technology, space exploration, and the development of civilian nuclear energy programs and others.”
His Highness added that the economic and commercial interdependence between the countries of the Cooperation Council contributed to building joint opportunities, which they have always worked to enhance, by focusing on the vital sectors such as economic development, energy, technological progress, and coordination in facing joint security threats and others.
At the end of his statement, His Highness affirmed the firm commitment to achieving a prosperous future that blesses security and stability, and is good for the peoples of the region and the world, looking forward to the continued voice of wisdom and the joint diplomatic approach between the United States of America and the countries of the Council in various political issues and economic fields.
