The Brazilian national team achieved an easy victory over its counterpart, the Haiti national team, with a score of 3-0, in the match that brought them together in the second round of the 2026 World Cup, raising the “Seleção” score to 4 points at the top of the third group, equally with the Moroccan national team, which achieved a valuable victory over Scotland with a score of 1-0 in the same round.
Brazil imposed its control over the course of the first half, and Matheus Cunha opened the scoring in the 23rd minute after a quick counterattack, before the same player returned and added the second goal in the 36th minute, taking advantage of a perfect through pass from Vinicius Junior. Before the end of the first half, Vinicius added the third goal in stoppage time after a pass from Lucas Paqueta, ending the first half with a comfortable Brazilian lead of 3-0.
In the second half, the Brazilian team maintained its advantage without having to increase its scoring output, while the Haiti team tried to reduce the difference and created some chances, most notably a dangerous ball that goalkeeper Alisson Becker brilliantly blocked. The Brazilian team managed the remainder of the match with confidence until the final whistle, emerging with a clear victory that confirmed its readiness to continue competing for the world title.
