المملكة: From 19 to May 21 .. Application of “Nafs” tests in Saudi schools in 8 countries

The “Education and Training Evaluation Authority” in integration with the Ministry of Education has announced the implementation of national tests “Enforcement” in Saudi schools in 8 countries in East Asia and Africa, during the period from 19 to 21 May 2025.
The tests are targeted by male and female students, primary and middle schools, specifically the third primary, primary and third average grade; In order to measure and improve educational performance of students, evaluate the quality of education outcomes, and stimulate positive competition between schools.
The tests will be applied in «8» Saudi schools, namely: “The Saudi School in Djibouti, Saudi Schools in the city of Rabat in the Kingdom of Morocco, the Saudi School in Algeria, and Saudi schools in Kuala Lumpur city in the State of Malaysia, and the Saudi Harams Academy in Jakarta, Indonesia.
The Saudi School in Beijing in the State of China, the Saudi School in Islamabad, Pakistan, and the Saudi School in New Delhi City, India. The number of students targeted in these tests reached nearly 755 students.

School performance evaluation

The tests target the fields of reading and mathematics in the third grade of primary school, and the fields of mathematics, reading and science in the sixth grades and the third average, as these tests gain high importance.
It has its results to measure the most important fields of school performance evaluation, which is the field of learning outcomes, and is linked to the evaluation of the performance of Saudi schools outside the Kingdom, through which it is possible to learn about the level of students learning and obtaining them in reading, science, and mathematics, and identifying the factors affecting this, and is implemented according to the complementary roles and continuous coordination between the Ministry of Education and the Authority; To contribute to achieving the target of Saudi Vision 2030 and the Human Capacity Development Program.
On the basis of these tests, a number of detailed scientific reports are issued at the national level of these schools, and a performance card is issued for each school, explaining the level of students ’performance in the areas of reading, mathematics and science, and the cards include compared to performance at the level of all Saudi schools, and the performance cards are published on a digital platform.
These data and reports also provide decision makers and beneficiaries with reliable performance indicators, which help to take corrective actions; To improve the quality of school education and educational achievement for students, and help to monitor the level of progress and change at all levels.
It is worth noting that the authority applied the national tests “competed” in Saudi schools outside the Kingdom for the first time in the past year 2024 AD in “4” countries, namely: “Algeria, Pakistan, India, and Indonesia” and the number of those who were aimed at the test “380” students reached, and the application was electronic, through computers available in schools.
The authority had completed during the current month, for the fourth year in a row, the application of national tests competing in schools inside the Kingdom, in integration with the Ministry of Education, and with the participation of approximately 1.5 million students, in more than 26 thousand governmental, private and international schools, for the primary and middle schools, and early childhood schools, in various regions of the Kingdom; To measure educational performance in the Kingdom’s schools and enhance the quality of education.
