5500 new public position in Dubai before the end of this year

The company “Barkan” confirmed an increase of 3% in the number of general positions of vehicles during the current year, equivalent to about 5500 new parking, which will start adding them from the end of the second quarter until the end of this year.

It also confirmed the addition of at least 1500 new positions to the portfolio of its developers.

In its quarterly report, the company revealed the addition of approximately 11 thousand and 700 new parking in all vehicle parking, as the total number of positions in the emirate reached 209 thousand parking, an increase of 6% compared to the first quarter of last year (197 thousand and 300 parking) is divided into public vehicle parking, with a total of 187 thousand and 100 parking lots, and the positions of the private regions of the developers, and the number of 18 thousand and 700 position.

As for the parking lots of multi -storey vehicles, they numbered 3,200.

She stated that the number of public vehicles parking increased by 10 thousand and 900 parking, with an increase of 6% over the first quarter of last year, noting that the region C witnessed the major increase in the addition of seven thousand and 800 parking, while the region witnessed the addition of three thousand positions.

The company also reclassified 200 parking lots to the x region (major events positions).

The positions of the special areas affiliated with the developers witnessed a net increase by 5% from 17 thousand and 900 parking lots in the first quarter of last year to 18 thousand and 700 parking lots in the first quarter of this year, and this increase compensated for the decrease in the positions located in areas affiliated with developers in the second half of last year after changing the conditions of the agreement with one of the developers in the Safouh area.

She explained that the total vehicle parking transactions amounted to 36.5 million transactions, as it achieved total revenues of 273.3 million dirhams during the first quarter, an increase of 27% over its counterpart last year, including revenues resulting from vehicle parking reservations, revenues of shopping shops, and financing returns from cash deposits.

She stated that the application of the flexible tariff system is expected to contribute to the company’s public parking portfolio in remarkably promoting revenues; It is estimated that the revenues of the public parking sector will range between 520 million dirhams and 550 million dirhams during the fiscal year 2025, compared to 404.6 million dirhams last year.

She pointed out that the number of seasonal cards and parking permits issued by the company witnessed an increase of 41% to 45.8 thousand cards during the first quarter of this year, and this growth mainly attributed to a rise by 56% in the issuance of short -term seasonal cards (for a period ranging between a month and three months), where 37.8 thousand cards were issued during the first quarter compared to 24.2 thousand cards in the same period last year.

As for the demand for seasonal and long -term seasonal cards (for a period of 4-6 months 7-12 months), it witnessed a slight decline, as 6.2 thousand cards of this category were sold during the first quarter of this year, compared to 6.9 thousand cards in the first quarter of last year.
