According to Vision 2030 .. The Kingdom enhances investment in the non -profit sector
The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development for Community Development, Ahmed bin Saleh Al -Majid, stressed that the Kingdom is a belief in the importance of investing in the non -profit sector, and based on the Kingdom’s 2030 vision, it pushed the institutions of this sector and organizations working in it to achieve interest and social justice for all members of society, by launching national initiatives and strategic plans in accordance with international best practices and in proportion to its local needs.
Al -Majid said on the sidelines of the dialogue sessions at the international exhibition of the non -profit sector, “Inna 25”, which is held in the capital, Riyadh, “The vision came with clear and ambitious targets, as the Kingdom aims to raise the contribution of the non -profit sector to the local product to 5% and reach one million volunteers by 2030.”
The National Conservation Platform
Al -Majid explained that the business packages included the launch of the national donation platform “donation” to build a national model that is reflected in the highest meanings of social solidarity through giving and giving in goodness, and creating a safe and transparent means to deliver donations to its needy under the umbrella of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, as the total donations provided to individuals and entities reached more than 1.4 billion riyals.
He stated that from the basis of strengthening the community participation of individuals, the national volunteer platform, a digital platform linking volunteers, has launched the non -profit sector in designing and offering voluntary opportunities.
He continued: The total volunteers by the end of 2024 amounted to more than 1.2 million volunteers, achieving the target of the Kingdom’s 2030 vision 6 years before the date.
A pillar in social development
The Human Resources Undersecretary pointed out that social responsibility constitutes one of the basic and national pillars in the social development process, due to the resources and expertise that private sector companies make it a key partner to support the non -profit sector and its organizations, as the Kingdom worked to direct the social responsibility of companies to contribute to meeting the development needs and priorities by activating specific partnerships, providing incentives and launching the national platform for social responsibility, which exceeded The contribution of the private sector to financing programs and development initiatives is a value of 3.5 billion riyals at the end of 2024.
