المملكة: A busy reception for the Kingdom’s team after its impressive results in “Icev 2025”

The Saudi Science and Engineering team received a busy reception at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, upon its return to the homeland, after its distinguished participation at the Regeniron International Science and Engineering Exhibition “Icev 2025”, which was held in the city of Columbus, Ohio, USA during the period from 10 to 16 May.
The national team, which included 40 male and female students who presented qualitative projects in promising scientific fields, won 23 international awards, including 14 major prizes and 9 private prizes, after strong competition with more than 1700 students from 70 countries, among the largest international scientific forum for pre -university students in the fields of science and engineering.

A source of pride and pride

The team was received at the moment of its arrival, the chairman of the King Abdulaziz Foundation and its men for talent and creativity, Suleiman Al -Zabin, and the assistant Minister of Education, Muhammad Al -Ghamdi.
The head of the Saudi delegation congratulated the Secretary -General of the “Tahiba” Foundation in charge, Dr. Khaled Al -Sharif, the winning male and female students, praising their excellence in providing qualitative scientific projects in which a group of world creators competed with, stressing that what they have achieved represents a source of pride and pride, and demonstrates the promising competencies of the countrymen that contribute to building a prosperous future in the fields of science, technology and innovation.

He stressed that the Kingdom’s winning of 23 awards in the “Icev 2025” comes as a culmination of the integration of efforts between “talent” and the Ministry of Education and Strategic Partners, within a coherent national system to care for talent and scientific excellence. Al -Sharif explained that this achievement reflects the great support of the education and innovation sector from the rational leadership -may God support it -and the Kingdom’s advanced position in international scientific forums.

The second place globally

The Kingdom has participated in the “ISF” exhibition annually since 2007, represented by the King Abdulaziz Foundation and its men for talent and creativity and the Ministry of Education, and its balance of prizes during its successive participation increased to 183 international awards, of which 124 major prizes and 59 special awards.
The Kingdom ranked second globally in the number of major prizes collected in the Acef 2025, behind the United States of America, for the second year in a row, after the center itself won the exhibition version of 2024, continuing the series of successes achieved by the Kingdom in international scientific forums.
The “ISF” exhibition is the most important and largest international scientific platform for presenting research and innovative projects for school students, as participants are held by a group of international scientists and experts, which gives students an opportunity to present their scientific capabilities to a specialized international audience.
