المملكة: The Kingdom chairs the sixth general meeting of the anti -corruption authorities “Globe Network”

The Kingdom- represented by the Control and Anti-Corruption Authority- has brought up the sixth general meeting of the Global Operations Network for Law enforcement authorities concerned with fighting corruption (Globe Network) held in the Republic of Azerbaijan during the period 22-24 Dhu al-Qi’dah 1446 AH, with a delegation headed by His Excellency the Chairman of the Control and Anti-Corruption Commission, Mr. Mazen bin Ibrahim Al-Kahmous.

Speech of the Chairman of the Authority

His Excellency the Chairman of the Control and Anti -Corruption Authority delivered the Kingdom’s speech at the opening session of the sixth general meeting of the Global Operations Network for Law enforcement authorities concerned with fighting corruption, Globe, expressing his thanks and appreciation to the Republic of Azerbaijan for hosting this meeting, and the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime is representative What they make of efforts is able to support the network’s work and prepare for this meeting.
He also thanked the members of the network for the distinguished efforts in achieving the ambitious network vision; He considered their continuous contribution to strengthening the network’s position and its effectiveness as a vital factor in ensuring the success of commitment to combating corruption.

Enhancing cooperation to combat corruption crimes

His Excellency stressed during his speech the Kingdom’s keenness to enhance and activate bilateral and multi -party cooperation channels, and this includes the establishment of joint mechanisms and the exchange of experiences; To ensure the pursuit of the corrupt, and tracking the funds obtained from the crimes of corruption and its recovery, in a way that contributes to promoting justice and enhancing close cooperation at the national and international levels to combat cross -border corruption crimes, in compliance with the political leadership of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia – may God protect it – the established in the approach of integrity, transparency and combating corruption.
His Excellency added that this trend comes as an affirmation of the Kingdom’s pivotal role in supporting international efforts to combat corruption and its keenness on joint work in this field, noting the Kingdom’s support for the Globe network in order to achieve its vision and goals.
He explained that the Control and Anti -Corruption Commission has effectively benefited from its cooperation with the Globe network to exchange information, which contributed to the speed and efficiency of dealing with many of the issues that the authority has initiated, as well as the authority benefiting from the valuable capacity building programs provided by the network. At the end of his speech, His Excellency called on all the member states of the network to enhance international cooperation in combating corruption, especially since it is not possible to address the challenges of cross -border corruption crimes except with the concerted efforts and their solidarity between the law enforcement devices concerned with anti -corruption around the world under the United Nations umbrella represented by the Globe, looking forward to joining all efforts to achieve the desired goals of this meeting.

Enhancing the ability to address the challenges of corruption

For his part, His Excellency the Chairman of the Guobe Rosjan, the Undersecretary of the Control and Anti -Corruption Commission, Dr. Nasser bin Ahmed Aba Al -Khail, delivered a speech on this occasion through which he stressed that the network has become an important bridge between 235 corruption and international organization in more than 126 countries, indicating that this meeting holds an ambitious agenda; To enhance the ability of governments to address the new challenges in the field of anti -corruption, improve the mechanisms of looted assets, and trace the illegal money transit.
The meeting provides an opportunity for the law enforcement of the anti -corruption around the world; To exchange information and expertise, and review experiences related to their specializations within the framework of the United Nations Anti -Corruption Agreement.

“Globe” network

It is noteworthy that the global operations network for law enforcement authorities concerned with anti -corruption is Globe is an initiative launched by the Kingdom during the ministerial meeting at the G20 summit (G20) hosted by the Kingdom in 2020 AD, and was officially approved by the United Nations on December 17, 2021 AD during the work of the ninth session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Convention against Corruption, and the initiative was also received earlier by the Secretary -General The United Nations, Mr. Antonio Guterres and the Kingdom’s role in its founding during his speech at the opening of the first extraordinary session of the United Nations General Assembly Anti -Corruption in 2021 AD, has joined the network during the past three years 235 corruption and international organization and more than 126 countries for the network, showing success achieved by the initiative.

The Kingdom’s presidency of the Anti -Corruption Network

In February 2025, the Kingdom received at the United Nations headquarters in the Austrian capital, Vienna, head of the global operations network for law enforcement authorities concerned with fighting corruption, Globe Network for the period (2025 AD – 2027 AD), after the representative of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia won the Undersecretary of the Operative and Anti -Corruption Authority for International Cooperation Dr. Nasser bin Ahmed Aba Al -Khail, unanimously in the elections of the Globe E.
