The Balance Council and Airbus announced the strengthening of their strategic partnership by launching a national program to develop industrial capabilities in the aviation sector. The program aims to manufacture and supply removable fuel tanks “CCRT” in cooperation with the IBI company of the Edge Group.
The partnership agreement was signed during the fourth edition of “Maken in the Emirates 2025” by the CEO of Operations in the Balance Council, Sharif Hashem Al -Hashemi, and the President of the Airbus Company in the Africa and the Middle East, Gabriel Simillas, in the presence of the Secretary -General of the Balance Council, Dr. Nasser Hamid Al -Nuaimi, along with a number of representatives of both sides.
The “CCRT” tank is characterized by its flexibility and multiple uses, as it can be employed in ground fuel processes, long -range tasks, and air -friendly operations, which embodies the commitment of the Balance Council and “Airbus” to push the industrial innovation wheel and develop the capabilities of national industries in the UAE.
This project reflects the UAE’s direction towards strengthening its industrial capabilities within the global supply chains of the aviation and defense sectors, through the development and production of mobile and multi -tasking fuel tanks for the shipping cabin in the plane, which contributes to supporting fuel operations, land support, and long -term tasks with high efficiency.
This initiative comes within the efforts of the economic balance program, which is one of the most prominent strategic tools of the Balance Council, which aims to enhance local content and transfer technology in the aviation and defense sectors.
The project includes the exclusive serial production of this type of fuel tanks over the next five years. It includes the adoption of the “Airbus Defense and Space Company” on the company “EGI” in the manufacture and collection of structures and sub -aircraft ingredients, and the adoption of private industrial processors.
Upon completion of the program, IBI will be the only supplier internationally approved for these components, which enhances the UAE’s role as a pivotal industrial partner in the aviation and defense sectors.
