"Make in the Emirates" .. a platform that highlights the country’s superiority in space and advanced technologies

Abu Dhabi, May 21 / WAM / The exhibition “Make in the Emirates” this year witnessed an exceptional gathering of the leading national bodies and the private sector, stressing the country’s firm commitment to push the wheel of the local industry towards new horizons of innovation and growth.
The exhibition was an ideal platform for reviewing the latest projects and advanced technologies that not only support economic development, but also the UAE’s position as an emerging industrial power; From the vast space to the most accurate details of digital technologies, the active participation of national institutions and bodies reflected an indisputable ambition, strategic partnerships that build a prosperous future, and Tafania in promoting national content and enabling young competencies.
In the space sector, Eng. Amer Al-Ghafri, Assistant Director General at the Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Center, stressed that the participation of the center represents a confirmation of pride in the advanced Emirati industries, highlighting the satellite project “MBZ-SAT”, which bears the name of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State “may God protect him”, and is considered one of the latest and best satellites in the region, and he explained that the moon was manufactured in partnership with national companies As “Strata”, “Emirates International Aluminum”, and “Falcon”, which reflects the escalation of the country’s efficiency in manufacturing advanced space components, expressing the center’s aspiration towards strengthening local partnerships through the exhibition.
For his part, Abdullah Al -Murr, head of the satellite projects department at the Emirates Space Agency, explained that the agency’s participation translates its commitment to supporting the local space industries system, noting that a number of specific projects were presented, most notably the “Al -Amal probe” project, which was a starting point for the national space industrialization, where 66 pieces of it were manufactured inside the country.
Al -Murar also reviewed the “Squadm” project, which seeks to develop satellites with radar photography technology, in partnership with the private sector, especially with the Edge Group, in a move that enhances the transfer of knowledge and building national capabilities in this vital sector.
As for the telecommunications and technology sector, Adel Al -Hammadi, Vice President of Procurement Operations at the E & Group, stressed that the group’s participation came in cooperation with the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology, through two main axes, the first is to attract the approved national companies within the local content program and register them as accredited suppliers with the group, and a number of memoranda of understanding have been signed, including with the “Grass” Foundation to support handicrafts; As for the second axis, it focuses on reviewing the digital solutions that the group provides to support the industrial sector, including artificial intelligence technologies. Al -Hammadi also noted that the group won a prominent prize within the “Made in the Emirates” prizes for the privilege in the national content program.
In the same context, Hamad Al -Shehhi, Manager and Senior Observer at the Operations Control Center at “Keulus MHI” for train management, and the general coordinator of the “Enforcement” youth council, stressed that the exhibition was an inspiring platform to display youth energies and emerging projects, pointing to the need to enable national competencies and support job seekers, especially in the areas of advanced manufacturing.
In the energy field, Eng. Suleiman Al -Alili, a clean hydrogen engineer at the Diet Co Clean Energy Company, pointed out the importance of participating in the exhibition to support the national industries related to sustainable fuel and the clean energy of the planes, and pointed to his participation in an awareness session within the activities of “Nafs”, which dealt with the most prominent challenges facing young people in the balance between practical and personal life.
