“Nissan” is considering selling its headquarters in Japan to cover the costs of restructuring

Nissan Motor is studying its headquarters in Yokohama, south of Tokyo, in addition to reducing seven of its 17 international factories..

The value of the headquarters is estimated at $ 698 million, according to a local real estate agency. Nissan will use the money to cover the large costs associated with the reduction of factories.

According to the “Nikai Asia” website, Nissan included the main headquarters building on the assets list that will be sold by the end of the fiscal year ending in March 2026.

The automotive company has transferred its global headquarters from Tokyo to Yokohama in 2009. The complex, which includes an exhibition of Nissan cars, occupies a distinguished location near Yokohama, a major passenger center in Kanagawa Governorate.

On Friday, Nissan issued a text of a question of questions and answers with analysts held on May 13, in which Nissan revealed additional costs of 60 billion yen in the costs of restructuring that may be incurred in the current fiscal year.

“We are planning to cover the costs of restructuring through asset sales,” said the president and CEO of the company, Evan Espinoza.
