The Red Sea Film Foundation launches the fifth edition of the film industry challenge within 48 hours

The Red Sea Film Foundation has revealed the opening of registration for the fifth version of the film industry challenge within 48 hours, which is launched in partnership with the Consulate General of France in Jeddah, the French embassy in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the French League of the French Consulate, and the French Cultural Center. This annual challenge comes within the efforts of the Foundation in enabling young filmmakers and providing a stimulating environment for creativity and innovation in the independent film industry. To discover young directing talents from citizens and residents in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, who are between the ages of 18 and 25. Each team is required for a maximum of five participants, provided by a director or director from Saudi Arabia. The pre -challenge stage includes an intense virtual workshop held on July 11 and 12 July 2025, and includes training sessions offered by a group of professionals and industry experts, including Iraqi director Ahmed Yassin Al -Daraji, who will present a workshop in the field of film directing, along with the Saudi film maker a full era in a workshop for writing the scenario, in addition to a member Who will present a workshop on montage and its pivotal roles in the cinematic industry. The challenge concludes the presentation of the participating films during the month of September 2025, in the presence of a jury that includes filmmakers and international experts in the cinematic field. The leaders of the two teams will have a unique opportunity to participate in a cinematic program in France in 2026, organized by the French consulate in Jeddah in cooperation with its partners.
