Cooperation between Al Ain University and"Mohammed bin Khalid Cultural Centre"


Al Ain, April 14 / WAM / Al Ain University concluded a memorandum of understanding with the Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalid Al Nahyan Cultural Center, with the aim of strengthening the frameworks of joint cooperation and expanding the areas of institutional work between the two sides, in a way that contributes to serving the community and benefiting from the capabilities and expertise available to both parties.
The memorandum was signed at the university’s headquarters in Al Ain, where the university was represented by Dr. Ghaleb Awad Al-Rifai, President of the University, while the Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalid Al Nahyan Cultural Center was represented by Her Excellency Maryam Hamad Al Shamsi, Secretary-General of the Centre.
The memorandum aims to establish a general framework to enhance cooperation and coordination between the two parties, and to organize the relationship in a way that contributes to achieving common goals, in accordance with principles that preserve the privacy of each party, and in a way that supports the development of institutional performance and the exchange of experiences.
Areas of cooperation include benefiting from the capabilities and expertise available on both sides, exchanging information and experiences, implementing field training programs, organizing training courses, cooperating in scientific and research projects, in addition to organizing joint activities and events that contribute to serving the community and enhancing cultural and cognitive mobility.
Sheikha Shamma bint Mohammed bin Khalid Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalid Al Nahyan Cultural and Educational Institutions, stressed that the exchange of knowledge experience that has accumulated over the years between institutions operating within the UAE gives real added value to the knowledge balance of Emirati society, pointing out that cooperation with Al Ain University represents a step towards more community partnerships to enhance the cultural and societal mobility of institutions, especially when this cooperation comes at a pivotal stage in the country’s history, which frames the entry into the future with more powerful and modern data and engagement in building Human civilization.
For his part, Dr. Ghaleb Awad Al-Rifai stressed that this memorandum represents an important step towards expanding the horizons of cooperation with the leading cultural institutions in the country, indicating the university’s keenness to build strategic partnerships that contribute to strengthening its societal role and consolidating culture and knowledge, which will reflect positively on students and society.
For her part, Her Excellency Maryam Hamad Al Shamsi explained that the signing of this memorandum reflects the center’s keenness to enhance cooperation with academic and educational institutions, in a way that supports cultural and community initiatives, and contributes to the development of joint programs that serve the community and enhances the dissemination of knowledge and culture.
The memorandum stipulated the possibility of expanding areas of cooperation in the future, according to what is agreed upon between the two parties, by forming joint work teams to enhance coordination and follow up on the implementation of projects, in a way that ensures achieving the desired goals efficiently and effectively.
