Extensive discussions at the Arab Media Summit aimed at elaborating the features of the future media

Dubai, May 26/ WAM/ The Arab Media Summit in Dubai witnessed, with its first day, a series of inspiring sessions on a number of topics closely related to the future of media work in the region, and how to advance its distinction factors.

The discussions of the first day, which came within the “Arab Media Youth Forum”, covered a set of various topics that spanned the impact of the narrative narration in preserving heritage, to the expectations of young people in the labor market after the completion of their university studies, and the impact of Tok Show programs on society, especially among the youth category.
In a session held entitled “The narrative narration in the Emirati heritage”, the journalist and researcher in the field of heritage, Khalfan Al -Kaabi, and the content maker Matar Al -Shamsi, spoke, while the media dialogue was managed by Alia Bogfim, where the participants emphasized that the narrative narration, whether written or orally, is an effective way to preserve our heritage, and transfer it to future generations in a popular and smooth language, in a time when the old vocabulary has become Threatening to disappear.
Matar Al -Shamsi said that any person working in the heritage field must use the available media outlets in a correct way, because of its great impact on highlighting the cultural heritage, and transferring it to future generations, indicating that the media tools have become multiple, and the researcher or interested in heritage must employ them in an optimal way, whether through television or digital interviews, or through documenting stories and popular narratives.
Al -Shamsi added that preserving the heritage identity does not contradict the use of technology, but rather it can be an essential partner in spreading awareness and enhancing cultural affiliation, explaining that there are many words that disappeared from our daily dictionary, but what can restore these words to these words? He said that the answer is the popular narration.
He continued: “When we present these vocabulary within the framework of an attractive story, whether it is written or audible, the child or young man receives them in an enjoyable way, and begins to use it without feeling heavy or strange.”
For his part, Khalfan Al -Kaabi said that modern audio and visual means have become an urgent necessity in this era to communicate heritage stories, whether through short videos, audio recordings, or even through various interactive platforms.
Al -Kaabi added that the audiovisual and visual means today have become one of the most important tools for the narrative delivery, whether in the form of videos, stories, or even interactive shows, but it depends on a very important matter, which is the abbreviation.
He pointed out that whoever wants to enter the world of content industry in the heritage field must be mastered the art of shortcuts, and provides simple and easy content that addresses the minds and hearts of the audience, stressing that simplicity does not mean emptying the meaning, but rather makes the heritage within the reach of the new generation in a language it understands.
Al -Kaabi explained that the heritage is a wealth, and the narrative narration is the means, and the modern media is the bridge, so we have to know how to link the three; Let’s get to new generations effectively and deeply.
In the “Tok Show and Youth Programs” session, which was held as part of the “Media Chat” event, Nadia Al -Zoubi, from Amman, said that it believes that artificial intelligence will contribute to the development of the media sector, by analyzing data and opening new horizons, but it cannot be replaced by the real journalist, noting that the media is not just a robot who reads the news, but rather a living feeling, and the embodiment of the reality.
Al -Zoubi added that the great change in the nature of the media content has negatively affects the quality of the message presented to the public, noting that the content or topic was the star, but today it has become exaggerations and fabrications is the alternative star.
She continued: “We have seen some media screens followed strange methods to heat the discussion, dependent on emotional performance, formal reviews, or the so -called non -necessary boldness, only in order to reach the largest number of views, regardless of the value of the content.”
She concluded her speech with a message in which she said: “My message from Dubai to every young journalist … preserve the identity of the profession, do not make the trend is your identity, whatever the temptations of the virtual world.”
The “post -graduation and future” session, which was organized within media chats at the Arab Youth Media Forum during the activities of the Arab Media Summit and in cooperation with Moniify 10 pillars that enable the new graduates to prepare well for the labor market and obtain jobs that are compatible with their future skills and expectations.
Nourhan Fahmy from the Monifai platform discussed during the session the most prominent challenges faced by young people in searching for the first job, and presented practical solutions to overcome them, the most prominent of which is that young people must prepare a professional CV, engage in practical training to acquire the required experiences, build a network of relationships with work agencies, make effort in developing skills, acquire new skills outside the scope of specialization, and applying for jobs in several Parties, follow -up applications, marketing their skills with work agencies, believing in personal capabilities, and taking advantage of the opportunities for volunteering and training.
Nourhan stressed that the success in finding a job starts from the graduate awareness of his capabilities, and his willingness to learn and continuous development, and stressed the need to benefit from training opportunities and volunteering as the first steps towards employment, noting that every skill acquired by the graduate reduces the number of his competitors in the labor market.
The “post -screen … youth and podcasts”, the producer and presenter Moeen Jaber, who reviewed the reality of his media and productive experience, hosted how the podcast became an effective means of expression and a rich source of societal and intellectual discussions, which contribute to the formation of the awareness of the new generation and the expansion of its perceptions. During the session, Moeen Jaber spoke about the radical transformations of the public’s behavior, especially the youth category, who have become inclined to interactive audio content through podcast platforms, as a substitute for traditional media.
The session also touched on the challenges faced by podcast makers in the Arab world, in terms of financial sustainability, guaranteeing content quality, and reaching a broader segment of the public, in light of intense competition from visual and social content platforms. Moeen Jaber stressed during the session the importance of supporting young media talents, and giving them space for creativity.
The content maker, Yasmine Nasser, confirmed in a session “from marketing to content industry” that the passion is the driving force behind learning and continuous improvement in cooking art, which helps to spread attractive and innovative content and encourage followers to adopt new food habits.
Nasser indicated that she benefited from her experience in marketing to promote the art of cooking, as the successful content industry depends on the ability to communicate ideas with simple skill and methods that attract the recipient, and stimulate him to return again to see more content offered, where Yasmine studied marketing and communications and has more than 13 years of experience in the field of advertising, and achieved great achievements during her career, she went Then to the art of cooking, and obtained a cooking diploma from France, noting that cooking and creativity represents a wide space for self -expression, exchanging knowledge, and encouraging diversity.
