Ajman University organizes "Scientific Research Day" To enhance innovation

Ajman, May 27/ WAM/ Ajman University, one of the most prominent non -profit institutions in the region, organized the eighth edition of “Scientific Research Day”, confirming its firm commitment to innovation, sustainability and support for national development efforts.

The annual event was organized under the supervision of the Deanship of Scientific Research and Graduate Studies, which witnessed a remarkable presence of faculty members and bachelor’s students and graduate studies, as well as a group of representatives of the government and private sectors, with the aim of discussing ways to employ applied scientific research in supporting long -term strategic aspirations of the UAE.

During the event, which was organized at the Ajman Saray Hotel, students reviewed a set of multidisciplinary research projects that dealt with real challenges in areas such as urban planning, public health, technology, design and behavioral science.

This year’s version was a distinguished interactive platform to enhance integration between academic circles and national priorities, and to inspire young researchers to contribute to creating effective solutions to regional and global challenges.

Among the most prominent effective contributions, students of the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology provided a research study on sustainable systems for fresh water collection through condensation techniques, while the projects of the College of Architecture, Arts and Design touched on the role of the appropriate urban design for walking in promoting the quality of life, as well as offering another project on the establishment of sensory spaces for children with autism spectrum disorder.

Marketing and administration students also analyzed the behavior of the green consumer in the UAE, while the projects of the College of Law students touched on the right to privacy and legal frameworks in digital environments.

Students of the College of Medicine discussed issues related to the availability of health care services and clinical practices, while students of the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences discussed environmental risk factors and the latest developments in the field of pharmaceutical industries.

The College of Dentistry has presented qualitative innovations in the field of oral and dental care, while students of humanities, social sciences and media dealt with behavioral trends, community perceptions, and media narratives.

These projects, combined, reflect the extent of the diversity and richness of the research system at the University of Ajman, which is based on the close link to reality, academic rigor, and a concrete national impact.

Dr. Karim Al -Sagheer, Director of Ajman University, said that scientific research represents an essential pillar in its mission, and the essence of its vision to build an economy based on knowledge and innovation. He affirmed the commitment of the university, through this event, to support the innovative researchers who are able to convert the theory into an effective practice that produces knowledge with a concrete societal impact.

He added that the university, as a non -profit institution, directs all its resources to enhance the research system, develop academic infrastructure, build effective scientific partnerships in line with the ambitious national development targets, and the research academy programs are in line with the aspirations of the “Emirates Vision 2071”, the national agenda of innovation, future technologies and sustainability.

The student Zara Hazaa Al -Abdouli of the University of Ajman from the Department of Mechanical Engineering also spoke about her participation and scientific research, which collects fresh water through the intense water style through the surfaces of the glass, which contributes to solving the problem of water scarcity through methods that do not need a useful external energy source in arid or dry areas relatively low, and this technique relies on the intensification of water vapor in the air on cold surfaces, and often some often It is made of glass or materials with the ability to cool themselves at night.

The event witnessed honoring the distinguished contributions of students and faculty members, within the framework of strengthening a research culture that combines theory and application, and encourages cooperation between various disciplines.

Through presentations, constructive notes from experts, and the chances of communication with professional sector experts, students were provided with the opportunity to refine their research projects and enhance their readiness to contribute effectively to the economic and social development process.

The Day of Scientific Research embodied the active role of Ajman University in supporting the national goals of empowering youth and investing their intellectual energies, with the focus of resources on the areas of innovation, education and scientific research, while the event emphasized the university’s firm commitment to building an academic system in support of scientific research that affects the values ​​of sustainability and positive societal contribution.
