"Abu Dhabi Agriculture" It reviews its various initiatives during the UAE conference and exhibition
Al Ain, May 27/ WAM/ The Abu Dhabi Authority for Agriculture and Food Safety reviews during its participation in the first edition of the “UAE Agricultural Conference and Exhibition 2025”, its efforts and leading initiatives in supporting and sustaining the vital agricultural sector in Abu Dhabi, in addition to the effective contribution to the discussion sessions and accompanying activities that will bring together a group of the most prominent experts, specialists and innovators in the agricultural field at the local and international levels.
The conference is organized by the Ministry of Climate Change and the Environment and continues until May 31, 2025 at the exhibition center ADNEC Al Ain. The event is an important strategic platform that brings together farmers, investors, experts, government agencies, and scientific research institutions, with the aim of exchanging knowledge and experiences, and displaying the latest innovations and technologies in the field of sustainable agriculture.
The conference and the exhibition also seek to strengthen partnerships between the public and private sectors, advance the wheel of agricultural investment, support the local product from national farms, and activate the role of youth and society in the agricultural sector.
The exhibition accompanying the conference includes a wide display of the best products of citizen farmers, the latest agricultural solutions and innovative technology in this field, including advanced protected agricultural techniques, modern and effective irrigation systems, and comprehensive agricultural sustainability practices, which gives all participants and attendance a valuable opportunity to explore the latest innovations and developments in the agricultural sector. The event will also include a market for farmers to display and sell their fresh local products.
The qualitative participation comes within the framework of the permanent commitment to the authority to support farmers, livestock and beekeepers, and to provide a stimulating environment for innovation and smart investment in the agricultural sector, in a way that is to achieve comprehensive food security and enhance environmental sustainability in the United Arab Emirates.
His Excellency Ahmed Khaled Othman, Acting Deputy Director General of Operating Affairs at the Abu Dhabi Authority for Agriculture and Food Safety, said: Our participation in the UAE Agricultural Conference and Exhibition 2025 is a strategic opportunity to present our latest initiatives in supporting farmers and adopting modern and sustainable agriculture methods, in line with the goals of the national program ‘planting the Emirates’ and enhances our ability to achieve food security.
This event comes within the ambitious national program, “Cultivation of the Emirates”, which aims to provide comprehensive support for the local agriculture sector and enhance its vital contribution to achieving sustainable national food security, translating the UAE vision in expanding the scope of green spaces and encouraging local agricultural production.
The pioneering program, which started last year, aims to support the UAE’s directions for agricultural development and achieve sustainable national food security, and aims to encourage the local community to produce the most important agricultural products, expand the green area in the country and support the efforts of preserving the environment, and consolidating a positive mental image of the high -value local product, as well as strengthening the environmental sustainability system through the effective contribution of local products in reducing Carbon fingerprint as fresh products.
The Abu Dhabi Authority for Agriculture and Food Safety affirmed its firm keenness to enhance strategic partnerships between the public and private sectors, advance the specific investment wheel in the agricultural sector, and provide full support to the local product from national farms, and enable the role of youth and society in the entire achievement in achieving the sustainable agricultural development goals.
