Understanding "Energy for distribution" Abu Dhabi airports to enhance energy and water infrastructure management

Abu Dhabi, May 29/ WAM/ TATAEDA, one of the companies affiliated with the National Energy Company “Taqah”, signed a memorandum of understanding with Abu Dhabi airports, during the activities of the World Facilities Conference 2025, with the aim of unifying efforts to enhance the management of energy and water infrastructure, and integrate modern technologies in current and future facilities networks in all airports of the emirate.

The memo was signed, Omar Al -Hashemi, CEO of “Touaqa Distribution”, and Elena Surlini, Managing Director and CEO of Abu Dhabi Airports, in the presence of a group of managers and officials concerned with this sector.

TATAD will employ, as part of the Memorandum of Understanding, its in -depth expertise in managing the highly reliable public facilities network in Abu Dhabi.

It will also depend on its successful experiences in planning an infrastructure for facilities and implementing them efficiently in terms of energy and cost consumption, in order to ensure a high level of operational excellence in maintaining the facilities of the private sector.

Omar Al -Hashemi said that the Memorandum of Understanding allows “Taqah Distribution” and Abu Dhabi airports to unify efforts to push Abu Dhabi’s vision to become a world leader in the aviation sector.

He added that the basic experience will contribute to planning, implementing and operating facilities, in an important role to facilitate the integration of operations smoothly at Abu Dhabi airports, which greatly enhances the efficiency of infrastructure to better serve millions of travelers and support the economic and logistical goals of the emirate.

Zayed International Airport is a major port for aviation in the country, and benefits from cooperation with strategic partners such as “Energy for Distribution”, with a focus on sustainable and innovative growth.

These partnerships strengthen Abu Dhabi’s commitment to increasing absorptive capacity and improving operational efficiency, ensuring its location as a major destination in the region.

For its part, Elena Surlini said that with the development of the aviation sector, enhancing flexibility and sustainability in facilities has become a must to achieve long -term success.

He pointed out that cooperation with “Taqah Distribution” allows Abu Dhabi airports to increase the efficiency of the private network operations in line with general standards, which ensures the provision of continuous services around the clock without interruption.

This memorandum of understanding aims to support many of the main pillars of the development strategy in the Emirates, in line with the economic vision of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi 2030.

Update and congestion of utility services – with the support of maintenance based on the prediction of the employment of artificial intelligence and modern customer relationship systems – will help align the infrastructure of the emirate’s airports with best global practices.
