Syria .. Israeli raids on southern Latakia

On Friday, an Israeli raid targeted the Sahel region in western Syria, according to the official Syrian television, while Israel announced the bombing of military facilities in the Lattakia area.

These raids were the first on the country about a month.

And the official Syrian television reported, “A raid from the Israeli occupation planes targeting sites near the village of Zama in the countryside of Jableh, south of Latakia.”

For its part, Israel announced the bombing of “weapons storage facilities that include surface-to-sea missiles, which constitute a threat to international navigation freedom and freedom of navigation for Israel, in the Latakia region of Syria.”

The Israeli army statement added that “the components of the air-to-air missiles were targeted in the Lattakia area.”
