Sharjah Women’s Sports Foundation clubs dominate team championships for Taekwondo

Sharjah on June 2 / WAM / The Sharjah Women’s Sports Foundation clubs, represented by the Sharjah Sports Club for Women and the Kalba Sports Club for Women, confirmed their strong presence in the Taekwondo Square after it achieved distinguished results in the competitions of the teams that were held on May 31 and June 1, 2025 at the Sharjah Sports Club Hall – Al -Hazana branch amid the participation of a group of clubs specialized in the conclusion of the season.

The junior team from the Sharjah Sports Club for Women imposed its dominance on the first day of the competitions to win the gold medal and the first place with merit.

As for the category of women, it continued to shine, as the players managed to win the silver medal in strong competition until the last moments.

Kalba Sports Club for Women presented strong performances, as the junior youth team achieved the bronze medal after the players presented a coherent performance and a high combat spirit. The teams of women from Kalba Club continued to shine and succeeded in winning the bronze in a competition that witnessed a high technical level between the participating teams.

On the next day during the Emirates Cup of the Teams, the women’s team from Sharjah Sports Club for Women continued its distinguished career by winning the gold medal and first place after strong and balanced offers made by the players.

Abdullah Hatem, coach of Taekwondo in the clubs of the Sharjah Women’s Sports Foundation, said that the results achieved by our teams this season are the fruit of integrated collective efforts. The players have shown a high commitment to the technical and mental levels and it was clear during the various championships how the collective performance developed and the skills of the players in all groups and these achievements represent an important station that pushes us to continue building and preparing for the next season with greater ambitions towards the benefits Arab and international.

Belqis Al -Shehhi, head of the individual games department at Sharjah Sports Club for Women, said that these honorable results reflect the strength of the administrative and technical system within the club and the continuous support from the Sharjah Women’s Sports Foundation and its keenness to provide the best possible environment for taekwondo, which motivates us to maintain this level and develop it in the coming seasons.
