Armenia Securities Market officially joins the platform "exchange"

Abu Dhabi, June 3/ WAM/ The Abu Dhabi Securities Market announced today that the Armenia Securities Market officially joined the “exchange” platform, thus becoming the sixth financial market to join the platform.

The Abu Dhabi Securities Market launched an exchange platform in July 2022 as the first digital platform in the region operating according to the mutual access form between the markets aimed at establishing a digital network linking the financial markets, and enables investors to trade securities in international markets by accessing a dimension through brokerage companies cooperating with those markets.

The platform allows investors access to shares of companies operating in multiple sectors such as banks, financial services, energy, and communications.

The first deal was implemented through a successful exchange platform between the market participants from Armenia, “Conferres Bank, Metax Investment Company” and Abu Dhabi “Al -Ramz Capital” on May 30.

And now Armenian investors can access the securities listed in the Abu Dhabi Stock Exchange, allowing bilateral trading and enhances strategic links between the two markets.

The joining of the Armenia market comes to an exchange platform after the joining of the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange in February 2025, and to complete the momentum that accompanied the signing of the Abu Dhabi Securities Market an agreement with the Iraq financial market, through which the Iraqi market will be annexed to the platform soon and until now, 9 financial markets signed agreements with “exchange”, trading in 6 of them was activated.

On this occasion, Abdullah Salem Al -Nuaimi, CEO of Abu Dhabi Stock Souk Group, said that this expansion reflects our commitment to enhancing the correlation between capital markets, increasing regional liquidity in financial markets, and supporting the UAE vision of economic diversification and sustainable development.

The “exchange” currently provides access to more than 490 listed companies, and the base of investors exceeding 7.6 million investors, and in 2024, the value of trading on the platform amounted to about 200 million US dollars, with a growth of 317% on an annual basis, and the exchange platform provides a smooth trading between financial markets with a settlement in local currencies, without the need for double listing or conservative services.

The platform is currently linking the financial markets in Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, Muscat, Astana, Kazakhstan and Armenia.

The joining of the Armenia Securities Market confirms the platform for the continuous efforts of the Abu Dhabi Securities Market in deepening integration between the capital markets in the region and enhancing financial cooperation.

By enabling mutual access among the markets, the market continues its endeavors towards expanding investment opportunities, supporting innovation, consolidating the position of Abu Dhabi is a dynamic financial center and global interrelationship.
