The Holy Quran Complex discusses strengthening cooperation with the Sharjah Museums Authority

Sharjah, June 4 / WAM / The Holy Quran Complex discussed enhancing cooperation with the Sharjah Museums Authority in developing the museum sector and exchanging experiences according to the best global practices in this sector to complete the role of Sharjah in preserving the cultural and Islamic heritage.

This came during the visit of a delegation from the complex headed by Dr. Abdullah Khalaf Al -Hosani, Secretary -General of the Complex and a number of directors of departments to the Sharjah Museum of Islamic Civilization, where the delegation was briefed on the holdings of Islamic arts and culture and the masterpieces of the art of Arabic calligraphy in writing the Holy Quran through a historical journey that extends to 1300 years from the history of Quranic manuscripts and the art of Arabic calligraphy that tells its story, renewed and its cultural and human heritage throughout the ages.

His Excellency Dr. Abdullah Khalaf Al -Hosani praised the efforts of the Sharjah Museums Authority in enhancing cooperation and exchanging experiences in the museum sector, stressing that the vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, inspiring Sharjah made Sharjah a unique civilized and cultural model.

For its part, His Excellency Aisha Rashid Dimas, Director General of the Sharjah Museums Authority, said that the visit reflects our common keenness to build bridges of institutional cooperation, which enhances Sharjah’s position as a cultural and entrepreneurial center in preserving Islamic heritage and valued the Sharjah Holy Quran Complex initiatives in consolidating this cooperation, which would contribute to developing quality knowledge and cultural experiences.
