The Filipino national team is the heroic of the Ladies ice hockey

Al Ain on June 7/WAM/The Philippine team won the Asian Ladies Championship for Women 2025, after beating its Iranian counterpart 4-2, yesterday in the last round.

The tournament was held at the Hili Ski Hall, in Al Ain, sponsored by the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, with the participation of 6 teams, the Emirates, India, Malaysia, Iran, Kyrgyzstan and the Philippines.

The last round witnessed the Indian team’s victory over Kyrgyzstan 3-2, while our national team lost against its Malaysian counterpart with three clean.

The winners Jumaa Al -Dhahiri, Secretary -General of the Emirates Winter Sports Federation, Vice President of the Arab Ice Hey Federation, Evz Amnakov, President of the Asian Federation in the presence of Khalaf Salem Al -Wahidi, Director of Operations Department in the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, and Mahmoud Al -Saleh, Director of the Office of the National and Executive Director of the UAE Special Olympics.

Juma Al Dhaheri said that the championship is an important station within the agenda of the Emirates Winter Sports Federation, to enable our national team players to skills, competitive capabilities, and gain experiences through competition with the elite of the players, indicating that the tournament witnessed a great momentum of advanced technical levels.
