Israel issues the army to prevent the Freedom Fleet ship from reaching Gaza

Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz has pledged to prevent an aid ship carrying Swedish climate activist Greta Tonberg and other activists, from reaching Gaza.
Defense Minister Israel Katz said today, Sunday, that Israel would not allow anyone to break its siege of the besieged sector, which he said aimed at preventing Hamas from importing weapons.
“To the anti -Semitic Greta and her colleagues, I tell you clearly: you have to return, because you will not reach Gaza,” Katz said in a statement.
It is noteworthy that Tonberg is one of 12 activists on board the “Madeleine” ship, which is run by the “Freedom Fleet” coalition.
The ship sailed from Sicily last Sunday, on a mission aimed at breaking the maritime blockade imposed on Gaza and delivering humanitarian aid, while raising awareness of the worsening humanitarian crisis in the Palestinian sector.
Activists said they intend to reach the territorial waters of Gaza today.
It is noteworthy that Rima Hassan, a French member of the European Parliament of Palestinian origin, is among others on the ship, and she was prevented from entering Israel because of her opposition to Israeli policies towards the Palestinians.
