Saif bin Zayed is witnessing the graduation ceremony of the 12th National Defense session
Abu Dhabi, June 9/ WAM/ The team, His Highness Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, witnessed the graduation ceremony of the twelfth national defense session (2024-2025), which was held at the college’s headquarters in Abu Dhabi, in the presence of His Excellency Mohammed bin Mubarak bin Fadel Al Mazrouei, Minister of State for Defense Affairs, and a number of senior officials and officers.
His Highness congratulated the graduates on their fruitful efforts, and their effective performance throughout the period of receiving academic education and field vocational training in the college, embodying high capabilities, and the efficiency that reflects their ability to continue supporting the sustainable development process of the state, especially in the areas of national security, defense, sustainability and innovation.
His Highness praised the distinguished work carried out by the National Defense College, which today has become an edifice and a model in the manufacture of strategic thought and the preparation of leaders, supplying the state with national competencies and qualifying security military cadres with the necessary resources to be at a high level of readiness in the face of various events and challenges, and to enhance state security and protect their national gains.
Brigadier General Saeed Hassan Al -Yamahi, Commander of the National Defense College, welcomed in his speech during the ceremony, the sponsor of the ceremony and the generous attendance, confirming the college’s pride in graduating a number of national leaders in the military and civil sectors, who have completed an intense academic year in a strategic academic environment, aimed at preparing leaders capable of understanding and analyzing the national security system in its comprehensive concept, interacting with challenges and changes Geopolitical at the regional and international levels.
He explained that the college is keen annually to develop its academic programs in line with national priorities, and enhances the readiness of national cadres to confront security, geopolitical, economic and technological challenges, through developing strategic thinking and the ability to anticipate and innovate.
He added that the college has become a scientific beacon and a national platform for preparing senior leaders in the state, noting that the National Defense College has come out since its foundation strategic leaders who occupy important positions today in various state institutions.
He pointed out that this year’s session was held under the slogan “The Year of Society”, which was launched by the rational leadership, confirming the importance of societal cohesion and national awareness in the consolidation of national security, which the college was keen to strengthen within the study programs of the course.
At the end of the ceremony, His Highness the sponsor of the ceremony honored the graduates, amid a wide praise of the advanced level of academic content and the efforts made to prepare national cadres capable of contributing to strengthening the national security system of the UAE.
