The National Committee for Sustainable Development Goals discussed the developments of national efforts to achieve the targets of the sustainable development path 2030, the features of the third stage of the national data plan, and the mechanisms of promoting integration between sectors to ensure the achievement of the sustainability targets, and reviewed indicators of the UAE’s progress in the application of development goals.

This came during a meeting of the committee chaired by the Assistant Minister of Cabinet Affairs for Competitiveness and Knowledge Exchange and Chairman of the National Committee for Sustainable Development Goals, Abdullah Nasser Lootah.

Abdullah Lootah emphasized that the UAE continues its approach to contributing to supporting the global dialogue to determine the priorities of sustainable development in the next stage after 2030, based on its belief in the importance of ensuring a sustainable future for humanity, and unifying efforts to achieve a qualitative shift in the process of sustainable development, and he said that the UAE represents a leading global model in adopting sustainable development goals and translating it into a tangible reality, through a pre -emptive vision that combines national aspiration And global responsibility.

The National Committee for Sustainable Development Goals reviewed the stages of work progress and progress in achieving sustainable development goals at the national level, and members of the committee stressed the importance of promoting data and improving their quality by employing integrated systems to automate the processes of reporting progress in achieving goals, with a focus on following the approved international standards and methodologies.
