Secretary General of the Supreme Legislation Committee: Emirati Children’s Day embodies the country’s firm commitment to empowering future generations

Dubai, March 14 / WAM / Dr. Ahmed Saeed bin Meshar, Secretary-General of the Supreme Legislation Committee, said that Emirati Children’s Day constitutes an annual milestone in which the United Arab Emirates, with its institutions, society and children, affirms its firm commitment to empowering children and protecting their rights, based on the vision of the wise leadership that places humans at the heart of the sustainable development process.

On the occasion of Emirati Children’s Day 2026, Bin Meshar added that the advanced legislative system in the country has contributed to providing a supportive environment for children that enhances their development and achieves their ambitions, safeguards their rights to learning, care and safety, and develops in them the spirit of innovation and creativity to ensure their active participation in building the nation’s future and consolidating the country’s leadership globally.

He stressed the committee’s firm commitment to supporting the sound national approach to providing children with all means of support and empowerment tools, in line with the state’s vision of enhancing the quality of life, family cohesion, and community solidarity.

He noted the Committee’s keenness to continue establishing a legislative and societal culture that enhances awareness of children’s rights and supports the upbringing of a confident and creative generation that contributes to the sustainable development process of the United Arab Emirates.
