Dubai, June 16 / WAM / Dubai Health, the community’s efforts in the success of the “My Blood Latini” campaign, which coincides with the International Day of Blood donors, which falls on June 14 of each year and honored its partners from government and private agencies, along with individuals who had a pivotal role in supporting and making the campaign since its inception in 2012, in appreciation of their active contributions in establishing a culture of blood donation in society.

43 strategic partners, including 11 government agencies, and 10 private bodies that include charitable institutions and associations, were honored, in addition to 22 donors in different categories.
The campaign is organized in partnership between “Dubai Health”, “Al -Amin Service” and “Dubai Health Authority” and the Emirates Today newspaper, and aims to provide adequate blood units to treat patients in public and private sectors, whose condition requires blood transfusion, as well as providing the necessary blood units for the Thalassemia Center, in addition to enhancing a culture of blood donation in society.
And the “My Blood for My Latin” campaign to attract more than 300,000 donors in 13 years, contributed to strengthening the stock of the blood donation center with more than 500 thousand therapeutic units, through which it managed to save the lives of thousands of patients and contributed to spreading a culture of blood donation, as a human and societal message.
The “My Blood for My Lati” campaign aims to consolidate the culture of blood donation as a noble human and national action, and to contribute to spreading societal awareness of the importance of regular donation.

It seeks to attract new donors, especially those who donate for the first time, with the aim of expanding the database of the blood donation center, especially from the owners of rare blood factions.
The campaign focuses on targeting the youth category from the age of 18 to 30 years, to enhance the concept of blood donation as part of a healthy and responsible lifestyle, in addition to encouraging various governmental and private agencies to participate actively in organizing donation campaigns.
On this occasion, Dr. Mona Hulk, Executive Director of Medical Affairs in “Dubai Health”, thanked the strategic campaign partners from governmental and private agencies and individuals who contributed to saving the lives of many patients by supporting their “my country” campaign.
She explained that the campaign succeeded, over 13 years, to attract more than 300,000 donors from 150 different nationalities, contributed to the provision of more than 500 thousand treatment units of blood and during the year 2024, the initiative recorded a remarkable participation of new donors who donated for the first time and constituted 54% of the total donors, while the percentage of youth increased to 41% during the same year.
