The Strategic Office proposed the development of Al-Jouf Region Lighting codes policy within The urban area in the region, through the “Estalaa” platform, in a step aimed at organizing the night scene and enhancing Visual identity and raising the quality of the urban environment.
The office explained that the proposed policy includes the facades of buildings in the Al-Jouf region, and is applied to historical areas with their heritage and architectural landmarks, in addition to administrative areas that include the headquarters of government agencies and public squares, as well as commercial areas that include storefronts, commercial squares, and parks.
The policy indicated that regulating the use of lighting colors in the city is carried out according to three main cases, which include the times of events and seasons, and cases of not The presence of events, in addition to global events, to ensure operational flexibility while maintaining visual consistency.
Unification of lighting color codes
The policy stipulates the unification of lighting color codes in the “HEX/RGB” format according to regions and operational scenarios, whether basic or related to events and non-events, for both commercial, administrative and historical areas.
This aims to establish a unified system for color approval, which contributes to achieving visual harmony. It civilizes the city, and limits randomness or inconsistency in lighting colors between neighborhoods and locations.
The office confirmed that the policy takes into account visual safety by applying techniques to control the intensity of lighting and its distribution surface according to studied divisions, with the use of colors and gradations that reduce light glare and limit the leakage of external light, ensuring eye comfort and enhancing the clarity of the night scene for residents and visitors, in harmony with the local identity and environmental protection requirements.
Lighting codes according to regions
The policy specifies degrees And the lighting codes for each area. The historical area uses lighting with color temperatures ranging between 2700 and 3000 Kelvin, in traditional white, with a color code “HEX: #FFE4B5”. 3000 and 4000 Kelvin, in neutral white, with the code “HEX: #FDF6E3”.
A special matrix is attached that specifies the colors and lighting codes associated with international events, such as breast cancer awareness campaigns and others, provided that adherence to what is officially issued for each event is achieved, in order to achieve visual interaction with international events without disturbing the city’s identity.
