574 horses participate in the sixth edition of the Al Dhafra Arabian Horse Championship

Al Dhafra, 21 December / WAM / Yesterday evening, in the presence of His Excellency Sheikh Zayed bin Hamad Al Nahyan, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Arabian Horse Association, the competitions of the sixth edition of the Al Dhafra Arabian Horse Championship for Special Studs, which is held on the Al Mughira Corniche in the Al Dhafra region, continued yesterday evening, amid a competitive atmosphere full of enthusiasm and excitement, which reflected the prestigious status enjoyed by Arabian horses in the Emirates, as a symbol rooted in history and identity. Nationalism.

The tournament is held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the ruler’s representative in the Al Dhafra region, and organized by the Emirates Arabian Horse Association, with the participation of 574 horses from the elite of purebred Arabian breeds, owned by about 321 owners, including 26 owners from the Al Dhafra region with 53 horses, in a scene that reflects the depth of societal connection to the purebred heritage and the keenness of the owners and breeders to preserve and develop it.

The competitions were attended by His Excellency Mohammed Ahmed Al Harbi, Director General of the Emirates Arabian Horse Association, and Khalifa Al Nuaimi, Vice Chairman of the Organizing Committee, along with a number of owners, breeders and stud managers.

The third day witnessed exciting competitions in the qualifying rounds between the private stalls, in a heated struggle for the qualification cards and the final championship titles, which confirmed the pioneering role of the championship in consolidating Al Dhafra’s position as a major destination for Arabian horse beauty championships, and strengthening national efforts to preserve this ancient cultural heritage and transmit it to generations with pride and honor.
