“Human Resources and Emiratisation” and Dubai Police conclude an awareness campaign for workers

The Dubai Police General Command, in partnership with the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, concluded a field awareness campaign for workers in the Emirate of Dubai, which was launched last October, with the aim of enhancing the legal culture, security and digital awareness among workers, and increasing their knowledge of negative behaviors and the importance of combating fraud crimes, as they are partners in the sustainable development process in the country.

Acting Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation for the Labor Protection Sector, Dalal Al Shehhi, confirmed that awareness constitutes a major part of the Ministry’s strategy and its sustainable efforts to enhance the competitiveness and organization of the labor market, through digital and field tools and direct communication, which contributes to developing workers’ awareness and knowledge of their rights and legal obligations. She praised the community initiatives of partners in government agencies and the private sector, to educate workers in various fields about the reality of life and living in the country, which confirms the awareness of partners and community members of the importance of the workforce, and its participation. Social security, based on its pivotal role in sustainable development and enhancing the state’s leadership in all fields. She appreciated the efforts of the Dubai Police General Command and its cooperation with the Ministry in the “Know Your Rights” campaign, which also includes security awareness for workers in a way that enhances their community affiliation and the state of safety and stability witnessed by the Emirate of Dubai and all the emirates of the country.

Director of the Crime Reduction Department at the General Department of Criminal Investigations and Investigations, Colonel Arif Bishua, said that field awareness campaigns directed at workers are one of the basic pillars of the preventive work system pursued by Dubai Police, in line with its strategic vision of enhancing security and safety, consolidating the concepts of community prevention, and building a safe and sustainable society.

He explained that Dubai Police believes that security is a shared responsibility, and that raising the level of legal and security awareness among all segments of society, especially workers, contributes directly to reducing crime and enhancing societal stability, noting the Dubai Police’s commitment to continuing its awareness and preventive efforts, in support of the sustainable development process, and consolidating Dubai’s position as a leading global model in community and proactive security.

The campaign, which targeted labor camps, benefited 9,200 workers in the areas of Al Warsan, Jebel Ali 1, Al Muhaisnah 2, Al Quoz, and Jebel Ali Industrial Area.
