Saud bin Saqr receives Bishop Paulo Martinelli
Ras Al Khaimah, June 17/ WAM/ His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, received at the Palace of His Highness in Saqr Bin Muhammad Al -Youm, Bishop Paolo Martinelli, the Apostolic Deputy in the southern Arabian Peninsula, in the presence of a number of priests in the Catholic St. Anthony Church in Ras Al Khaimah.
During the meeting, conversations were exchanged about ways to enhance the concepts of peace and dialogue between religions, and to consolidate the culture of tolerance, openness and coexistence, which is rooted in the fabric of Emirati society.
His Highness the Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah stressed that the UAE attaches great importance to consolidating the principles of coexistence and constructive dialogue between religions and cultures, based on its humanitarian and civilizational approach based on respect for diversity and preserving human dignity, and building a coherent society that welcomes everyone.
For his part, Bishop Paulo Martinelli expressed his deep thanks and appreciation to His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, for the generosity of hospitality and warm reception, praising the UAE as a global model to be followed in embracing cultural and religious diversity, and enhancing the culture of coexistence and communication between various religions and societies.
