Sharjah celebrates the flags of Mauritanian literature
Nouakchott on June 18 / WAM / The Mauritanian capital, Nouakchott, celebrated yesterday evening under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, within the twenty -third edition of the Sharjah Forum for Cultural Honoring, which was organized by the Department of Culture in Sharjah in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture, Arts, Communication and Relations with Parliament in Mauritania by honoring four of the flags of Mauritanian literature in appreciation In enriching cultural life.
The honorable poet Muhammad Fall Abdul Latif and the academic in linguistics, Dr. Yahya Al -Hashemi, the linguistic researcher, Dr. Muhammadu Amin, and the poet Muhammad Al -Hafiz Ould Ahmadou.
The forum comes in implementation of the directives of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah to honor literary stature that contributed to the service of contemporary Arab culture.
The honoring ceremony was organized in the conference hall in the capital, Nouakchott, in the presence of His Excellency Abdullah bin Muhammad Al -Owais, head of the Culture Department in Sharjah, His Excellency Hussein Ould Madou, Minister of Culture, Arts, Communication and Relations with Parliament in Mauritania, Mohamed Ibrahim Al -Qusayr, Director of the Department of Cultural Affairs in the department and the Wali of the Western State of Nouakchott, represented by the mayor of the municipality of Tafar Zina, along with a large audience of intellectuals, academics and Mauritanian writers.
His Excellency Abdullah Al -Owais stressed in his speech the importance of the extension of cooperation between Sharjah and Mauritania, saying that this prominent cultural forum comes as an extension of the march of cultural cooperation between the Department of Culture in Sharjah and the Ministry of Culture, Arts, Communication and Relations with Parliament in Mauritania, which resulted in many cultural activities that support Arab culture and enhance the role of thought and creativity in our Arab societies.
For his part, His Excellency Al -Hussein Ould Medou supported the support and care of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, to serve the language of the opposite, its literature, the issues of culture and intellectuals throughout our Arab world, adding that the pioneering cultural role of the Emirate of Sharjah is a bright model in the serious Arab cultural work through what it launched from the initiatives and the cultural projects it embraced that made it a beacon for Arab culture And shelter for Arab writers and creators.
For their part, the honorees expressed their gratitude for this honor, noting that the Sharjah Initiative for Cultural Honoring represents a civilized model in celebrating the Arab intellectuals and emphasizing the firm commitment of the emirate to support thought and creativity in various parts of the Arab world.
They praised the vision of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah in consolidating culture as a pillar of development and identity, considering that this celebration is not only a tribute to certain people, but is a celebration of Arab culture and its creators in various fields.
